Rob Ulitski - 25th Mar 2024
London-based producer Love Remain releases the music video for poignant single LDN GRLS, featuring the late poet Gboyega Odubanjo.
Directed by @pervers3cowgirls, the video is set against a backdrop of a bustling London, featuring a liberating, unfiltered celebration of womanhood. Grounded in reality yet transcendent in a life-affirming way, viewers will be able to see themselves, their friends and their families in the visual, which perfectly complements the track.
This is a special piece of work, executed with passion, and a beautiful homage to British-Nigerian poet Gboyega Odubanjo, who died last August. HIs profound connection to London, particularly the East End, shines throughout.
In reflecting on the creation of the track, Love Remain expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with Odubanjo. The record represents not only a snapshot of their time together but is also testament to the enduring bond between friends and communities. "His energy was the light that the song needed," comments Love Remain.
These feelings are truly embodied throughout the video, which serves a celebration of life, love, and the enduring bonds that unite us all.
