Jade O'Connor returns with another powerful promo for ELI. 

The video for Promises spans ten vignettes, which each visualises the different emotions you have when you begin to lose trust in a relationship. 

"I focused on creating metaphoric scenes to express the emotions felt after going through numerous broken promises," O'Connor mentions. "We then see ELI take back her power by leaving her frustrating and toxic relationship and taking back her life."

The video has a captivating minimalist vibe, using textural art direction and clever cinematography to keep things fresh, and it's all anchored by an enchanting performance from the artist. 

“To the lovers, the ex’s, the dream sellers, sweet talkers, big corporations, gatekeepers, and anyone that makes promises they can’t keep, please stop you’re bare jarring," ELI says.

"I think everyone can resonate with the frustration felt in the song. Meeting a brick wall after being presented with a shiny embellished window of opportunity leaves you winded. You eagerly latch on to every word a person says, they promise you the world and then some but it’s just an adorned lie. Whether it’s to people please, big themselves up or whatever the excuse might be, just be up-front, honest and genuine with your intentions - it’ll do less harm in the long run.”
