Troy Roscoe directs a visual spectacle for Burna Boy, with a clear nod to the great American hip-hop videos of the '90s.

The video for Sittin' On Top Of The World balances innovative techniques and filmmaking flair with real charm and star quality and one that perfectly captures the spirit of a bygone era, with the glossiness of contemporary music video aesthetics. 

it's another brilliant piece of work by Roscoe, in an upwards trajectory of great videos - anchored by a great central performance by Burna Boy.

"Drawing inspiration from the music videos of that golden era, we infused the video with lowriders, red cups, wide lenses, and a vibrant yet grainy grade - creating an iconic masterpiece with a touch of surrealism for a modern twist," explains Roscoe. 

"Burna's natural electric and charismatic presence on camera made filming a breeze, allowing us to capture each scene effortlessly and shoot the abundance of scenes in just a few hours.

"The styling played a pivotal role in shaping the video's outcome, as we aimed to capture the essence of the 90s with baggy jeans and vibrant ensembles reminiscent of that iconic era - so the stylist Annum deserves a honourable mention for her solid efforts."
