Kieran Fence 'Love Somebody' by Nicolas Heitz

From a tense dramatic opening to flashbacks of heated passion, turning into cold disaffection, Nicolas Heitz explores the layers of a relationship in his video for singer-songwriter Kieran Fence.
In the song Love Somebody, Fence addresses domestic violence out of a child's perspective. In the video, Heitz employs a warm and soft colour palette during passionate love scenes and in brutally cold and grey worlds for moments of alienation, violence and depression.Â
This provides a strong counterpoint to the song's lyrics. Kieran Fence says:Â "I feel called to reintroduce an open conversation about this societal problem that affects us all and doesn't cease to be a threat to so many. I want to encourage a fellow hetero cis-man to question his role and increase the awareness particularly amongst ourselves."
