Picking up where the video for Strawberry Lemonade left off, Christian Lee Hutson hitchhikes back to LA, in Waley Wang's quirky road trip performance video for State Bird. 

We see Hutson don a disguise and hop into the back of a U-Haul, sharing the ride with a couple of enamoured hitchikers, who passionately kiss as he delivers his deadpan performance without a care in the world. 

From the grey, desaturated streets of New York to the warm glow of LA, the video is anchored by a sense of transition in both location and mindset, perfectly visualised through the attentive colour grade and gentle cinematography.

Great work again from Waley Wang and team, which when paired with the first video, encapsulates a poignant and unusual emotional journey.
