Tess Lafia visualises singer-songwriter Madeline The Person's song about being fed up with her stoner boyfriend in a charming mix of animation with live action. 

The video for Why I Broke Up With You interweaves a stop-motion narrative featuring the strained relationship and broken promises within the setting of a doll's house, with Madeline's deadpan performance.

This is a beautifully realised piece of work, which balances glossy beauty shots with quite a raw, grimy aesthetic in the narrative, and perfectly realises the themes in the track. 

At the end of the concept, Madeline celebrates her freedom and the next stage of her life, having chucked out her weed-obsessed boyfriend. He is just too wasted to protest...
