The Wombats 'Ready For The High' by Callum Lloyd-James
Rob Ulitski - 21st Oct 2021
Callum Lloyd-James returns with a hypnotic black and white promo for The Wombats.
Boasting a frantic energy and glossy cinematography, the video is a showcase of the brilliant performance style The Wombats have become known for over their near two decades on the scene.
Unfussy and direct, the video harks back to vintage rock promos which were all about the band and the performance, and it's a wonderful fit.

CALLUM LLOYD-JAMES:
Shooting with strobes, frantic camera moves and a 45º shutter we've added some grit and edge...
"The song is about being engulfed in a bad place, but rather than accepting this as immutable, acknowledging that it is only temporary and that better times are closer than they (currently) appear.
"We wanted to make something explosive and high octane. Shooting with strobes, frantic camera moves and a 45º shutter we've added some grit and edge to the video and I feel like it matches the track really well."
