Callum Lloyd-James brings the magic of Scalextric to life in this delightful promo for iconic rock band The Wombats.&nbsp;Shrinking the group down into miniature&nbsp;racecar drivers, we see a group of kids build their own racetrack in a bedroom, complete with fire effects, nostalgic 80's toys and a rickety Jenga set that is just begging to destroy the whole setup.&nbsp;The video is worth a watch&nbsp;for the facial expressions of the group alone. But along with the playful concept and great performances from the cast, it's a real ride that matches the energy of the anthemic track, brought together in a blistering edit by Lloyd-James himself.[imgtoken data:1]"The film was inspired by a combination of things, including Tron (1982), Owl City - Fireflies and the band's artwork for their new album," he says.&nbsp;"This all came together with a series of nods to the lyrics, Mariokart, Wacky Racers, as well as the artwork to the band's debut album."We shot the film on six different cameras, including mounting a GoPro to a Scalextric car to get the POV shots on the track. It was so interesting experimenting with all the different things we could do with the idea once we had it down on paper. The band really put their all with their performance too, which made my life a lot easier on set."It took a long time to develop and gave me a lot of headaches, but the team came together to make something I know we are all really proud of. Shout out to Jake Parker, Katie South and Thomas English to going above and beyond on this one. It was a massive undertaking and a colossal effort from everyone involved."

Callum Lloyd-James directs an invigorating performance promo for up-and-comer Dylan for the intriguingly-titled You're Not Harry Styles.&nbsp;Shot at the artist's debut headline gig, the concept interweaves live footage with disposable film photos captured from a fan perspective, creating an intimate and nostalgic vibe.&nbsp;Using an array of vintage filters to match the disposable camera aesthetic, the video feels timeless and celebratory, making the most of the live experience against a backdrop of increasing restrictions and uncertainty with COVID.&nbsp;"Having massively built her following since the pandemic hit, we took the unique opportunity to capture one of Dylan’s first headline gigs with fans present," explains Lloyd-James.&nbsp;"It was a special night and the energy in the room was absolutely electric. I wanted to try and make her fans feel a part of the film so we dished out six disposable cameras to certain members of the audience and they took photos from angles inside the gig that we could never reach."Dylan says the song was inspired by personal experience. "It's a comeback song which I wrote after being messed around by someone. It’s my way of describing that moment of realisation when it clicks that someone isn’t worth the frustration and hurt they’re causing you… Writing this song gave me the empowerment to get back my self-worth.”

And then the scenes bleed out of the screens and into the studio itself."The video posed an interesting challenge," says Lloyd-James.&nbsp;"beaux and the label wanted to combine the look of a plain studio with the screen installation behind him. I wanted to look at ways that we could reinvent that space and look at it in a different way as the video goes on."The whole EP was written about fleeting times spent outside this year, so I had the idea of inverting the look from the screens and projecting it across the walls of the studio. It felt like an apt metaphor for what we’d been discussing and it really takes the visual side of the film to the next level."
