Bjorn Frankin and Johnny Marchetta direct a breezy coming of age narrative in their latest video for Dutch-Israeli singer-songwriter Dotan. 

The video for Satellites follows two girls on a day in the country, as their friendship blossoms into something transcendent and special.

Intercut with vibrant performance sections - with Dotan nestled within the same beautiful landscapes as the narrative - the concept is a simple yet brilliant one, complemented by excellent cinematography from Simon Plunket, shooting on 16mm.

"Shooting on film is always such a joy; the 16mm look you get is something we both love and feel can't be replicated on digital.

"The video itself was a coming of age tale of two girls exploring nature while also intercutting various abstract performance setups of Dotan.

"Capturing a brief flowing narrative that intertwined Dotan's performances was always the goal, and we're so happy with our final result. Our cast Ellie and Sophie, were both fantastic, and Dotan is just a first-class performer.

"Lots of props go to our DoP Simon Plunket, who is a real film purist and someone who played a big part in the look and feel of this video."
