Justine Skye 'Intruded' by Nina Holmgren
Danish director Nina Holmgren has created a gorgeous showcase for the rising singer Justine Skye, that's also a knowing commentary on our obsessive relationship with screen technology - and features some notable members of Skye's celebrity fanbase.
In the video for Intruded - which is bookended by two other tracks from her debut album Space & Time - Skye is the glamorous figure in various scenarios that riff upon corporatism, surveillance culture, outmoded yet classic technology and voyeurism.
Whether she's surrounded by rows of CCTV cameras, or banks of TVs and DV cams, Skye is the cool, self-possessed, high-fashioned presence in a range of visceral textures, from vinyl to leather to silk.
The cameras carry multiple images of the singer from the range of cameras, and also of the notable others - Timbaland, who produced her album, Lil Yachty and Bella Hadid, the latter uttering random phrases.
Holmgren was influenced by the pioneering video artist Naim June Paik, with at least one explicit nod to his screen-based artworks. And this is something of a work of art in itself. A wonderfully crafted work by a director with a forceful eye.

This superb video for Jorja Smith presents the artist and her song On Your Own inside a beautifully designed picture book, discovered in a young woman's bedroom, that comes to life.
We've come to expect Björk videos to be special and the VFX work to be brilliant. But even by her standards, Tobias Gremmler's video for Tabula Rasa is extraordinary.
Will Dohrn's searingly intense video for IDLES employs a brilliant visual device to tell several parallel stories of life on the edge in modern Britain.
