Arnaud Deroudilhe's video for Busy P is a dual-layered conceptual sleepwalk through the Kiev streets.
SebastiAn 'Movement' by Arnaud Deroudilhe
A young woman gets lost in herself - and then goes too far - in Arnaud Deroudilhe's superbly stylish video for SebastiAn.
Absorbed by her own reflection, as she heads to the laundry basement of her apartment building, her self-attraction takes an erotic turn. But then, in a symbol of the psychological effects of self-promotion through social media, the woman's self-obsession turns to madness.
This progression is wonderfully controlled by Deroudilhe and the warm, intimate cinematography by Romain Alary, with an edit dovetailing beautifully with SebastiAn's instrumental Movement, also by Deroudilhe.
