Indochine & Christine And The Queens '3SEX' by Colin Solal Cardo
It's the meeting of two towering French pop icons from different eras - and Colin Solal Cardo captures the magic in one of the best performance videos all year.
Indochine, a pop star in France for decades, and the living embodiment of Parisien froideur, comes up against the unstoppable charismatic pizzazz of Christine - so Solal Cardo does the sensible thing and lets them get on with it. A simply art directed set, clever use of lighting orchestrated by DoP Andre Chemetoff, and then its all about capturing the two compelling performers.
Christine is, as ever, wonderful. She evidently adores her aloof co-star. And even Indo, who looks like he has been too cool to smile for about forty years, eventually cracks. Brilliant.
