Eric Maldin explores secret love in his explosive video for Gorgon City. 

We follow the story of two girls - played by Michelle Nunez and Shea Hardy - who experience an intense attraction for each other, but whose authentic selves are tied to a series of fleeting moments of euphoria. Hidden in the shadows, their relationship is as contained and trapped as they are, before one of them puts on an unmissable display of affection. 

DoP Tyler Weinberger's gorgeous cinematography heightens the euphoric aesthetic, and highlights the emotional journey of the concept, hitting impassioned, neon-bathed highs and dreary, monochromatic lows.

This film is a testament to showing that no matter what, love always wins. 

"Burning was filmed in South East Wyoming in early August. Our crew was Covid-tested before embarking on the 16 hour drive into the stark plains of Wyoming.

"The film focuses on the burning love between two young women living in the town of Laramie. Despite the obvious attraction, they are forced to fining stolen moments in the seclusion of their rural surroundings. This film is a testament to showing that no matter what, love always wins.

"We shot this film with a small crew on the Alexa Mini LF and Masterbuilt Lenses. We decided to shoot open gate and maintain a 4x3 aspect ratio to allow the vast landscapes to be felt in all their glory.

"This film would not be possible without the help of the Epler Family and the Laramie County Fire Rescue who graciously allowed us to film on their ranch, while ensuring everyone was safe."
