Full Colour 'Times Change' by Callum Lloyd-James
Rob Ulitski - 18th May 2020
Full Colour pay homage to their roots in Callum Lloyd-James' video for Times Change, in a riveting and heartwarming evocation of rockstar dreams.
It's all set in a dated suburban house, the concept switching between high-energy performance setups in the living room and a childhood bedroom, both drenched in 1960's decor and vintage carpets. But the fresh-faced group contrast against the time-capsule art direction, performing as if they are headlining the main stage at Reading Festival.
The performance is bridged by a dynamic 5fps section, amping up the energy of the band before bursting into vibrant red for the finale. Aptly bringing the band into full colour.
CALLUM LLOYD-JAMES:
“I took inspiration from memories of growing up and putting on concerts for your parents or wildly air-guitaring around your room. You wouldn’t care who was watching or what they thought of it, instead just truly setting yourself free and letting the moment take you. This felt like a strong metaphor for the song and helped fuelled the concept.
"With the fact that it fits so aptly with the current lockdown and 'stay home' situation, we'd like to say that we called it back in March, but really it is just pure coincidence."
