Laura Marling 'Song For Our Daughter' by Justin Tyler Close
Justin Tyler Close directs a beautiful short film for Laura Marling's new album Song For Our Daughter.
Written to an imaginary child about what it means to be a woman in the world today, the video encompasses short snippets of different tracks and vignettes, originally released as trailers and now compiled into a short film.
Poignant and emotionally affecting, the authentic, raw cinematography is broken up by sections of poetry, with a blank, light brown block colour as the only visual stimulation.
Striking and instantly engaging, the project is an exciting introduction to Marling's seventh album.
