Following the brilliant video for Born Cold - nominated for best video at the Heavy Music Awards 2020 - director Oscar Sansom returns to direct Cyanide, the second instalment in a trilogy of videos for Creeper. 

This promo for Cyanide delivers a captivating performance for the TV cameras from the band, with frontman Will Gould's rock 'n roll star persona on full display, while the video also hints at other aspects of the album's narrative.

DP David Liddell contrasts the almost clinical lighting of the band performance with a more subdued setup backstage, creating a striking juxtaposition, whilst utilising plenty of camera movement to reflect the hyperactive energy of Gould's performance.

"The band love to tell stories and create characters around their music and we explore more of the narrative behind the album in this video. Within this chapter I also wanted to explore the idea of the performer and the juxtaposed struggle between the personas we create on stage vs the person behind it. In this video we quite literally look behind the curtain, seeing the private preparation for a performance cut alongside the performance itself."
