Brodinski ft ZelooperZ 'Master Selection' by Matilda Finn
Matilda Finn delivers a surreal and disturbing nightclub-set thriller for Brodinski, inspired by nightclub scenes in the classic hip-hop film Belly, with added notes of David Lynch's Blue Velvet.
Overlooking the sexy moves on the dancefloor, a tweaked-out, earphone-wearing Mr. Big descends from the VIP section to join the party, stop everyone in his tracks, and command his security to bring him a terrified partner to indulge his gruesome predeliction. And it ends with a bang.
Finn builds the tension through the relentless drive of the simple yet shockingly eery narrative, threatening chaos over ZelooperZ's unhinged vocal on Master Selection, within her perfectly executed world - a club that switches from glamourous and inviting, to dangerous and claustrophobic in seconds. The cinematography by Ben Fordesman is superb, so is the grade by Myles Bevan. Above all, a virtuoso masterclass of direction by Matilda Finn.
