Leftwing: Kody 'I Feel It' by Filip Nilsson

Rob Ulitski - 9th Sept 2019

A mobility scooter isn't the first vehicle that comes to mind when imagining a twenty-first century dance video, but Filip Nilsson has taken the concept and ran (ridden?) with it, and to great effect for Leftwing: Kody.

Zooming through caravan parks, estates and multi-storey car parks, the protagonist of the video stops off at various locations to have a quick dance before moving on and repeating this ritual. When a gang start running after him, we presume the worst, but our expectations are subverted when the ringleader pulls out a microphone instead of a weapon. In true Nilsson fashion it only gets weirder from there.

Offbeat, charming and funny, the video is a great (if unexpected) pairing to the track, and is sure to keep racking up views online.
