Mikky Ekko 'Fame' by BABYBABY
Swedish directing duo BABYBABY's video for Mikky Ekko, works with the emotion in the delivery of the heartfelt Fame to deliver a satisfyingly intense drama set in a familiar setting for filmmakers - the casting session.
When a febrile female actress fails to get the encouragement she thinks she deserves during a casting, her performance just becomes more unhinged - then spills over into violence.
Apparently this was based on real events. So if you're ever at a casting session, be careful not to look bored...
"It’s loosely based on a casting session we had some time ago. Like a glimpse into the painful venture of pursuing fame and the emotional tantrums that comes with it. The brutality of getting rejected physicalised into a brutal and bloodstained meltdown, and coming out of it strong and unchained."
