Jorja Smith 'February 3rd' by Shaun James Grant
Lassamie Prasimay - 6th Sept 2018
Following on from his live video for Where did I Go? comes another live performance by Jorj Smith, captured by Shaun James Grant.
The singer's smooth vocals are matched with the set, basking in warm golden tones to emit a 70/90s fusion neo-soul feel.
SHAUN JAMES GRANT:
"We had to build a set which could serve two purposes - one setup that could serve as a stripped back photographic interior for Where Did I Go?, and also ensuring it could be dressed as a 70/90s fusion neo-soul interior for this performance of 'February 3rd'.
"A lot of planning went into the best way to make the room feel real - and coming off the back of the hot UK summer it just felt right to make it a sweaty and stifling environment.
"The way this blurs the line between music video and live performance is really special to me. It’s about immersing the audience into another world, almost as if it could be a moment in a film - something that has weight and emotion behind the surface."
