BAFTA-winning artist, composer, musician and producer Ólafur Arnalds has unveiled his new track re:member, with a video from director Thora Hilmars, in which a young man must prove himself in a machismo culture - and has a special place in society. In fact, he's the Youngest Person Alive.

The track features groundbreaking new software, Stratus, developed over two years by Arnalds' and audio developer Halldór Eldjárn, which transforms the piano into a self-playing, semi-generative instrument. And the video is a poignant counterpoint to the track, where the young man undergoes a dangerous initiation with his buddies, in a world where procreation has apparently ended.

“The video touches on elements of masculinity and how men communicate their feelings," says Ólafur Arnalds. "But also the hope and joy we can find in each other when we manage to connect with each other or something that we share.”
