Muse 'Thought Contagion' by Lance Drake
If you thought Lance Drake's last video for Muse was a bit over the top... then reconsider. That one for Dig Down had a tough lady beating all the odds in a retro sci-fi world (with Muse's Matt doing a fair Max Headroom impression. But that was positively Bergmanesque compared to this one.
Drake pulls off a proper 80s-tastic shock-horror blockbuster for Muse's latest off-the-scale rock operetta Thought Contagion. From the arcade game, privileged teenager with the unfeasible sports car turns out to have a vampire for a girlfriend that leaves him on a one way ticket to videogame doom. But not before a big, lovely nod to Thriller - and the Rocky Horror Show.
And this one ends with Matt showing up in an even better car, as the ultimate 80s dude. Or possibly werewolf...
