London Grammar 'Rooting For You' by Bison
Luke Bather - 10th Jan 2017
London Grammar and Bison brought a showstopper to the table over the seasonal break with Rooting For You.
Shot on 35mm and lit from above entirely with helium lights, this gorgeous live video is an exercise in minimal one-take perfection. The first half of the track sees singer Hannah Reid stand alone in a wash of darkness as the camera floats around her acapella performance, before light fills the room and reveals a full orchestral backing.
A nuanced set of camera movements and understated lighting design help to accentuate the scale and the intimacy of various parts of this haunting performance.
