Viktoria Modesta 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' by Sing J Lee
Luke Bather - 15th Sept 2016
Sing J Lee delivers a stylish, science fiction-influenced adaptation of Shakespeare, to mark the 400th anniversary of the Bard's death, in this collaboration with singer-songwriter, performance artist and model Viktoria Modesta.
With washes of pink and blue neon, and a serious amount of jaw-dropping wardrobe this turns from adaptation of A Midsummer Night's Dream exploring the lust for self-edit and presentation (with Viktoria as Titania), into a full-up pop video and choreographed to perfection.Â
The VFX here are a brilliant development on the aesthetic that Sing first started to play with in his video for Muse earlier this year - a refined and cool sci-fi look is rare alchemy but executed explosively here with an artist who previously starred in the groundbreaking video project Prototype, directed by Saam Farahmand, as the first amputee pop star.
