Shura 'What's It Gonna Be?' by Chloe Wallace
David Knight - 7th June 2016
This lovely video, giving a refreshing modern twist to the delights of the classic John Hughes high school drama, is a wonderful vehicle for Shura and her early Madonna-referencing, Haim-worrying What's It Gonna Be? It's also a very impressive first music video by Chloe Wallace since signing to CANADA.
There's plenty of CANADA in here, with an attention to art direction and period detail that is the company's signature strength. But ultimately this delivers that timeless feeling of young love - the struggles, indecision, anxiety, and excitement - in a delightful way. It's partly tongue in cheek, but not so much. And anyone with half a heart has got to be cheering these guys on by the end.
