Geej Ower has directed a compelling promo for Jono McCleery's This Idea Of Us, capturing the intensity of a relationship through movement, that was produced as part of a short film project in Margate, organised by Stephen Bass of Moshi Moshi Records.

Greatcoat Films were invited to take up residency for a week by Bass as part of his PRAH Foundation artists residency programme. Greatcoat produced three short films with three of their favourite directors, responding to the project’s theme “Stories From The Sea”. The films include a narrative and a documentary short film, together with this film, directed by Ower and shot on 35mm by Charlie Goodger, which provides a haunting accompaniment to Jono McCleery’s beautiful track.

"The narrative follows one man's psychological torment battling with the memory of a past relationship," explains Geej Ower. "It's an emotional and physical story as our character attempts to rid himself of his past."
