New Order 'Tutti Frutti' by Tom Haines
Tom Haines has directed this subtly performed, character-led video for New Order's second single Tutti Frutti, from their latest album Music Complete.
In it, Italian actor Ricky Tognazzi (father of MVA-winning producer Sarah Tognazzi) brilliantly plays a freshly dismissed television show host who has clearly enjoyed a long career in the business. And as we follow him through the winding backstage corridors, it becomes clear that he, understandably, isn't taking the news too well.
But once the downtrodden ex-host reaches the stage, a proper meltdown begins as a particularly strong defence mechanism grants him ability to relive the excitement one last time...
