The Vaccines 'Give Me A Sign' by Peter Huang
David Knight - 13th Oct 2015
Peter Huang, who directed the outstanding UKMVA-nominated video for Son Real's For The Town, now takes a confident swipe at the rock-mockumentary (or should that be the mock-rockumentary?) to accompany The Vaccines' power ballad-like Give Me A Sign.
It's 1985, and the film crew (played by the Vaccines) are welcomed into the world of Wood!, to film them recording their new album. Which turns out to be their last album. It's all the great tradition of Spinal Tap, of course, but don't let that spoil your enjoyment. Peter Huang gives it his own spin, and the clashing of the monstrous egos of big-haired doofuses is definitely on point for the mid-Eighties. So it's more like a sequel to Tap than a remake...
