Martin Luke Brown 'Take Out Of Me' by Blake Claridge
Cat Velez - 30th Mar 2015
Blake Claridge has directed this promo for Martin Luke Brown performing his song Take Out Of Me in which the singer is cast under an array of light beams.
The video was shot in-studio with some lovely, panel-controlled lighting arrangements – the emphasis placed on getting the best shots to capture Brown's energetic and emotive performance of the track.
BLAKE CLARIDGE:
"When I heard the track, I knew I wanted to make a purely performance piece. I didn’t want to complicate things as the track itself was great and I just wanted to show Martin perform.
"I wanted to deliver on aesthetic and Dan [Stafford Clark, the DoP] along with Jon [Leese-Pomfret, colourist] helped me achieve this. The basic essence of the idea was Martin walking back onto set and just performing."
