The Shoes 'Time To Dance' by Daniel Wolfe
Jake Gyllenhaal in East London, killing Dalston hipsters, with a fencing rapier and pretty much anything else that comes to hand...
No, not just a fanciful idea. That is Daniel Wolfe's new video for The Shoes' Time To Dance: an eight-minute American Psycho-style rhapsody of mayhem featuring Hollywood leading man Gyllenhaal as the dead-eyed killing machine on the loose in grim London, with a very particular axe to grind...
It's Wolfe's first video since his outstanding run of work for Plan B, Chase & Status, and his last Shoes video, for Stay The Same, a year ago. That was intense; this is intenser... it's poetically bleak stuff as we follow Gyllenhaal's path of destruction through the icy city - shot by Robbie Ryan, and edited by Tom Lindsay.
