The symbolic nature of these characters is reinforced by bursts of animation and finally,the arrival of balloon sharks floating above the scene.

Somebody tie Eoin Glaister to a chair for a few months so that somebody else can have a chance at making music videos. His new clip for Glass Animals proves he&#39;s on top form as ever.The massively surreal clip depicts lovers living on separate floors in a house, who only begin communicating with one another after a misunderstanding with a dog that swallows a TV remote.Reality is skewed and stretched but this bizarre, cartoonish universe is perfectly realized in these two opposing rooms. With added weirdness from the band&#39;s cameo as shopping channel stars and an extended dance sequence involving a 6ft bipedal dog, there&#39;s certainly a lot to digest here besides a TV dinner. And a remote.

Eoin Glaister completes his Silhouettes Trilogy for Aquilo with a poetic third act.Focusing mostly on the character of Noah, and re-using earlier scenes with added expository dialogue, we get a little further into his character motivations. From looking after his little brother, we can see that he&#39;s a much more selfless person than was previously implied. He sees that his relationship with Courtney is going to impact negatively on her future, both in terms of her relationship with her Dad (something Noah values as he doesn&#39;t have much of one with his) and in terms of her talent (which again, is something Noah can see as special, because it&#39;s something he feels he&#39;s lacking).An emotional thread ties these three videos together, full of nuance and poetic visuals. A great achievement for Glaister and a great start for him at Agile.

Aquilo - Almost Over (Silhouettes Trilogy : Part III)

The second part of Eoin Glaister&#39;s Silhouettes Trilogy for Aquilo picks up pretty much where part one left off, but where that focussed on the ice-skating champ daughter here the emphasis is on her dedicated and hard-pressed father, played by Perry Benson. And it quickly reveals the reason for the closeness of the father and daughter relationship.Set mostly in a social club&#39;s ballroom class - the video takes a warm direction with some brilliant lighting design to highlight the emotional resonance of the scenario. Again, what would seem normally quite happy is tinged with an air of melancholy and the video again ends on a sombre tone. And Benson is really great here.&nbsp;A wonderfully nuanced exploration of family drama that leaves us wanting part three to come out soon!

Aquilo - Silhouette (Silhouettes Trilogy : Part II)

Eoin Glaister has directed a trilogy of videos for Lancashire band Aquilo, three interconnected narratives that highlight different aspects, and different characters, within&nbsp;a bigger picture. The release of the first video coincides with the announcement that Glaister has signed&nbsp;to Agile Films for music videos and commercials.Part one of the Silhouettes Trilogy focuses on a teenage girl, aiming for the top as&nbsp;a competitive figure skater, and how a romance distracts her from&nbsp;the sport she trains so hard for&nbsp;and affects her relationship with her dedicated father (played by Perry Benson, from This Is England).Shooting with&nbsp;predominantly handheld cinematography to enhance the kitchen sink aesthetic, and sticking to&nbsp;a relatively cold colour palette for most scenes, even ones we&#39;d normally associate with warmth, what starts as a sweet narrative ends on a more sombre note. But there is clearly more to come. &nbsp;It is the second time that Glaister has worked with Aquilo and created a narrative over more than one video. He created a two-parter for their first album and won an MVA as a result. This is also his first video released since officially joining Agile Films, and Katie Lambert, Agile&#39;s head of music says: &quot;I am so thrilled to have Eoin as an official part of the Agile family. Mostly because I like spending time with him and making videos gives me a fantastic excuse to do so. What a dream.&quot;&nbsp;

Fred Rowson takes us on a journey through the centre of the spirit in this bizarre and hilarious video for Hot Chip&#39;s Joe Goddard.Following the burgeoning UFO-hunting spiritualist cult of &#39;Colour Spectrum&#39; and some of their meetings and religious materials is an experience unto itself. Mixing VHS footage from the cult-founder in with modern day practices (bizarre rituals, outfits and custom a-plenty) are taken to the general public, who are completely baffled. A very comical look at how deeply unsuccessful a British equivalent of Heaven&#39;s Gate would be.

Gregg Houston and his crew have pulled off this stunning,&nbsp;one-shot live session, located at Clubs 2004 in Hornchurch, Essex - a&nbsp;working men&#39;s club frequented by the singer&#39;s father, and one which he himself&nbsp;has performed in&nbsp;many times over the years.In this video, Joseph manages to&nbsp;deliver a great performance while Steadicam op&nbsp;Josh Brooks walks around him, capturing it all live.&nbsp;And Gregg Houston says that it was no easy task to achieve.&quot;On the night we had everything set up before the regulars arrived. In order to get the take we had to turn the football off [the TV], and so there was a certain amount of pressure to get the performance nailed as soon as we could. We ended up doing three takes although Joseph nailed it in one and the first take is the first one used here.&quot;
