Directing duo AB/CD/CD directs a mind-bending slice of pop magic for Mae Muller's I Wrote A Song - the UK entry at this year's Eurovision Song Contest.&nbsp;Taking it's lead from the&nbsp;infectious, bouncy vibe of the track the video by the French directing duo takes these qualities and amps them up to a hundred.&nbsp;Featuring a menagerie of glossy studio sets, the video - which was premiered on BBC ONE last Thursday, when the song was announced as Britain's entry to Eurovision - sees Muller lament her cheating ex, as she haunts him on a whimsical journey through dreamlike sets.&nbsp;Experimenting with perspective and a push-and-pull style narrative, it's exactly the kind of eccentric promo that a UK Eurovision entry needs, and is one of the most enjoyable videos of the year so far.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1][imgtoken data:2]

A love story blossoms in the most unlikely of locations, in Fred Rowson's playful promo for Mae Muller.&nbsp;The video for I Just Came To Dance plays out like a Gucci shoot on a golf course, with a bit of The Virgin Suicides thrown in for good measure, and sees Mae attract the attention of a golfing guy with gorgeous looks but&nbsp;a flatlining personality.[imgtoken data:1]Mae can’t decide whether she wants to get with him or kill him. So, instead, she toys with him.Conceptually opposite to the lyrics of the track - you are definitely not meant to be busting moves in the middle of a golf course, but that doesn't&nbsp;stop&nbsp;Muller and friends -&nbsp;the video is imbued with director Fred Rowson's comedic, slightly surreal style, and it will keep viewers on their toes throughout.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Raja Virdi explores the thin line between good and bad for the big&nbsp;team-up of Marshmello, Mae Muller and Trippie Redd.&nbsp;The video for American Psycho takes place in a series of stylish custom-built sets, with a red and white colour scheme which represents the dichotomy of a toxic relationship.&nbsp;Muller and Redd thrive in their unique setups, and Virdi's use of dynamic transitions, animated elements and rhythmic editing keeps the video constantly engaging.[imgtoken data:1]"It was such a pleasure to direct this promo," says Virdi. "I'd been wanting to do a concept like this for a while and glad it fit the song so well. I love the themes of duality, and seeing the difference performance states of Mae between the red toxic sets and the white angelic sets."I really wanted to move the camera seamlessly between the spaces, keeping the visual constantly engaging with how we reveal new moments."Collaborating with my regular DOP Pieter Snyman and the insanely talented production designer Sarah Asmail&nbsp;ensured we found the rhythm for the piece and how best to give each space a unique feel for each artist on the song.[imgtoken data:2]"The turnaround was immense for this one with needing to shoot and deliver all within a week. But thanks to an insanely talented crew, we just about got there&nbsp;- albeit with little to no sleep, lol. With Scholfield working with choreographer Charm La Donna, this is a journey through the&nbsp;spectrum of emotions - fantasy, doubt, lust &ndash; of&nbsp;un amor brujo&nbsp;(a bewitched love).it opens with a contemporary take on a controversial masterpiece - Goya&#39;s&nbsp;La Maja, which he painted twice, with the subject clothed in one,&nbsp;and nude in the other. Rosalía, on the bed that is focus of most of the action,&nbsp;is most certainly clothed here, and there&#39;s barely any flesh on show. But the sexuality, passion, and lust, is all there from start to finish. You just need to understand the language to fully appreciate it.Scholfield says: &ldquo;I&rsquo;d heard Rosalía&rsquo;s music back in January. I was enamoured by the raw, soulfulness of it and when we met it made sense. She&rsquo;s got a kind of deep river of emotion that runs through her, so for us it was just a case of finding the way to dip into it and translate it to screen.&rdquo;
