New director Jasper Cable-Alexander takes us to the sun-kissed English countryside, and on a nostalgia trip for Billy Lockett&rsquo;s&nbsp;Feels So Good.Roaming through lush grass with the sun beating down, the video&rsquo;s simplicity and beauty echoes Lockett&rsquo;s dulcet tones. This was something that Cable-Alexander wanted to preserve.&ldquo;I was blown away by the emotion Billy was able to convey,&quot; he says. &quot;I immediately wanted to use 16mm to offer something raw as well as infrablue lighting for a cinematic edge. The visuals had to conjure up the same depth and integrity that Billy&rsquo;s sound evoked in me.&rdquo;

But as the lighting changes, a sheer black slope appears behind the band, and young men and women start to run up the slope, then acrobatically throw themselves from it.While Snow Patrol singer Gary Lightbody gives an&nbsp;emotional performance directed at the camera, the action around him intensifies, and becomes more coordinated. The young people combine and organise as they atempt to challenge the black slope - a visual response to Lightboy&#39;s&nbsp;plea: Don&#39;t Give In.Simon&#39;s video is the first of a series he&#39;s made for Wildness, Snow Patrol&#39;s first album in seven years.&nbsp;

Crowns &amp; Owls, in their first music video for ages, have returned with an unsettling curiosity for Hercules &amp; Love Affair&#39;s Omnion.A lone robed figure repeatedly walks up a staircase, on a pilgrimage in which she encounters different scenarios involving other pilgrims - and then finally passes through a watery barrier to be entirely transformed.Crowns &amp; Owls - that&#39;s Rory Martinez, Tom Harrison and James Alexander Adair -&nbsp;explain the ideas about the video&nbsp;below. And with its spiritual, quasi-religious&nbsp;overtones,&nbsp;this is absorbing work. It&#39;s&nbsp;also distinguished by excellent minimalist-theatrical production design, by James Hamilton at Made London and Max Lincoln, rarely found in music videos&nbsp;these days.
