Selena Gomez makes herself at home in a magical house, in the gorgeous&nbsp;video for De Una Vez,&nbsp;directed by&nbsp;Tania Verduzco and Adrian Pérez, aka Los Pérez.The single marks the actor and singer’s first song to be recorded entirely in Spanish in nearly a decade, and in the&nbsp;accompanying&nbsp;video we see Gomez return to her Hispanic roots, and dreamily move past heartbreak as she traverses through rooms in a home while reflecting and signing about her growth.&nbsp;“The idea was basically a journey inside a house where Selena was going through different rooms," explain&nbsp;Los Pérez.&nbsp;"Every room has a different concept behind, that is helping us to express the emotional felling of the song. She’s forgiving and letting memories vanish away."We thought that this song needed an emotional performance, so the idea of doing this one single shot approach with hidden cuts was perfect and Selena was keen on doing it.”[imgtoken data:1]Los Pérez lean into the sensibility of magical realism for the video, utilising Mexican cultural references to that end - including the central image&nbsp;of the sacred crystal heart on Selena's chest. “We wanted to play with powerful language and images," they add. "We designed the heart (we call it the Milagro in Mexico culture) and it’s light to be a metaphor for the healing throughout the story.”The iconic look is styled by Shirley Kurata. Dressed in a stunning Rodarte’s SS21 Daisy Floral Silk dress, with jewellery by Mexican designer Daniela Villegas. <a href="https://en.vogue.me/beauty/de-una-vez-selena-gomez-interview/" target="_blank">Los Pérez also told Vogue</a>: “We wanted to play with the amazing flowers the way Frida Kahlo did, but making it modern and cool for right now. The flowers on the dress, hair, and within the video all connect with this idea of renewal.”Due to the Covid travel ban, Los Pérez ended up directing the video remotely. Which has not prevented them from creating an enchanting video.

Michel Gondry is back with the Chemical Brothers, this time teaming up with his brother Olivier to create this&nbsp;wonderfully entertaining, very funky video that takes inspiration from classic Seventies music show Soul Train, and gives it an unexpected twist.A group of happy and carefree dancers get their groove on in a black studio, creating a striking contrast with the colourful outfits.&nbsp;With the help of some subtle CGI, the dancers&rsquo; moves start to become more and more exaggerated. Bouncing hair and swooping legs soon turn into something much more abstract. The end result is unexpected and unnerving, as we discover not everything is as it seems.

Jake Schreier enters a watery world in Francis and the Lights&rsquo; video&nbsp;for Never Back, in which&nbsp;frontman Francis Farewell Starlite&nbsp;performs a meditative ritualistic practice in a swimming&nbsp;pool, juxtaposed with the lounge chairs and hammock of the poolside nearby.As the video opens, Francis stands on his tiptoes in the brilliant water of a Los Angeles pool with only his nose breaking the surface, then descends to stand on the bottom of the pool. Francis&rsquo; geometric shape is emphasized with a visual of his mirrored body standing and legs rising the opposite way, towards the sky. The camera pans out at various points to a tranquil scene where Francis lies in a hammock while his underwater self experiments with movement, attempting to conquer his glittering blue environment.Shot at The Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, the video - the latest by former Francis and the Lights bandmember Schreier, who last year won a UKMVAs for his Haim video for <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2017/06/23/haim-want-you-back-jake-schreier/48381" target="_blank">Want You Back</a>&nbsp;&ndash; is a visualisation of the&nbsp;song lyrics that reference whales who live in the water but still breath air, concluding with the refrain, &ldquo;We can never go back, tho. Fleur Fortune&#39;s compelling&nbsp;short film for Travis Scott is a neo-futurist, dystopian look at near-death experiences.Shot in Detroit, the clip starts off by essentially establishing Scott as an unlikeable figure, and one in need of redemption. A brilliantly executed long takem shot in a car interior as it moves through the Detroit streets is the build up to a narrative-altering event, and one which takes this video from gritty, realistic short film territory straight into the realm of transformative experience.A masked figure walks forwards as the world moves backward around him - buildings crumble. We assume that it&#39;s Travis himself, as he&#39;s visited from people in the earlier part of the narrative. An out-of-body experience? Purgatory? Something else entirely?The video has a strange symmetry to it, with scenes from the first half of the 15 minute short being mirrored and echoed cleverly in this much more fantastical second act. It&#39;s an ambitious and enigmatic work - being shown exclusively on&nbsp;Apple Music for 90 days - that invites repeated viewing.[imgtoken data:1]

Carrying on their seemingly untouchable video reputation, and clearly not deterred by the&nbsp;recent parody by AJJ, OK Go are back, to step up their video game with more feats of shock, awe, meticulous planning and downright visual bliss. It begs the question will they ever run out of ideas?Hopefully not, as this video is truly a treat to watch. Using high-speed cameras, digital rigs and triggers and a whole heap of maths, the bulk of the video unfolds over a period of time that took just 4.2 seconds to shoot (well, more or less). But a hell of a lot happens in that time. Paint flies everywhere, flipbook animations lip sync to the track, some guitars explode, people fly through the air...All in a day&#39;s work for OK Go. Or several months work, as it almost certainly was. 50 Cent ft Adam Levine & Eminem 'My Life' by Rich Lee

Sigur Rós gave twelve of their favourite filmmakers $10,000 and an open brief to make a video for one of the songs from their new album. Its the Valtari Mystery Film Experiment, and Alma Har'el's contribution to the project - the third film to be released - is the mesmeric, emotional and erotic dance piece for the instrumental Fjögur Píanó. And the guy cavorting, in various states of nakedness with the blonde lady, really is Shia LeBeouf.
For fans of Alma Har'el's work, including her videos for Beirut and her award-winning documentary Bombay Beach, the style and sensuality of this wonderful piece will not come as a surprise. She was working once again with Ryan Heffington - who features in the video as one of the 'forces' who interact with the couple - LeBeouf and actress Denna Thomsen. Interviewed by the Wall Street Journal, Alma reveals that the Hollywood actor contacted her after watching Bombay Beach. When she mentioned the Sigur Rós project he volunteered. 
Its a far cry from Transformers and Indiana Jones, but Shia LeBeouf unquestionably gets back in touch with his art in this raw (in every sense), thought-provoking, and beautifully directed piece - photographed by Shawn Kim.

When you follow the instructions, this takes you somewhere you really don't expect to go: back where you grew up. And type in your address and, thanks to Google Earth, you can go anywhere you like, to the tune of Arcade Fire's We Used To Wait. And then you can write to your childhood self, and then more stuff happens, and over and above that, this is a multi-image experience, courtesy of the fact it was programmed in cutting edge code HTML5. 

It is, undoubtedly, a brilliant way of showing the genius of Google Earth (and one does wonder, is the recommendation that the whole thing plays better on Chrome actually true). But this is just not an ad for Google and some of its works. The technology is harnessed to serve a very strong idea - and then it's executed to a level that it can hardly fail to draw an emotional, very personal response. A milestone.

“The Wilderness Downtown” – Arcade Fire’s We Used To Wait by Chris Milk

Katy Perry returns with a blockbuster production of VFX directed by Mathew Cullen that takes her all-American girl-next-door candy-coloured aesthetic to a whole new level. In fact, to a logical conclusion. 
Mathew and a team of Motion Theory artists have created Candyfornia - a confectionery dreamworld featuring Katy as the candy queen who saves her fellow princesses of Candyfornia from the not-so-sweet Snoop Dogg. 

The whipped-cream spurting bra was presumably Katy's idea.
