"More recently I’ve been working with AI generated art in my videos. It is a relatively new technology but its development is accelerating all the time."The full potential for it to completely revolutionise the visual creation process is yet to be seen. I currently think of working with the AI as a collaboration with a mad auteur who’s taken too much LSD. It is certainly quite interesting to be taken on a psychedelic journey by a computer who’s seen too much.”The exaggerated visual aesthetic and otherworldly, mutating environment certainly is a sight to behold, and provides a great further context to the original music video.&nbsp;

Mat Whitecross returns to music videos with this&nbsp;gently quirky&nbsp;promo for Smith &amp; Burrows.The duo, made up of Andy&nbsp;Burrows, formerly of Razorlight, and Editors' Tom&nbsp;Smith, are each shown walking through Parliament Hill on Hampstead Heath, being observed on their way by otherworldly puppets, watching&nbsp;from hidden vantage points.&nbsp;Building to a great crescendo, the pair happen across a huge group of these creatures, who have gathered to hear the duo perform in the middle of the forest.&nbsp;It's a true feat, and the puppets - care of the famous Little Angel Theatre in Islington, North London - are wonderfully designed; a combination of fairy tale beasts and acid-trip hallucinations.&nbsp;

Editors’ danceable riff of the Frankenstein myth is equal parts gruesome, danceable, sexy, mean-spirited and cool.In the video by Gregory Ohrel (from Greg &amp; Lio) a&nbsp;young cop has developed a taste for brutality. And bludgeoning petty criminals just isn’t doing it for him anymore. So he takes a shovel to the graveyard, and with the help of a WikiHow tutorial, he creates the perfect partner in crime. This&nbsp;is his idol,&nbsp;“Baeonse” - get it?Editors have always had an experimental impulse. The Brummie post-punk band have&nbsp;worked with Martin de Thurah, and recently sought production from cult drone band Fuck Buttons. But politely, this video-nasty could be described as a bit of an edgy pivot from the band that wrote All Sparks&nbsp;and Munich.Thankfully, in the competent hands of Ohrel, the video is provocative and not exploitative. Doctor&nbsp;Frankenstein and his monster are an absolute joy to watch - especially when they turn into an awesome&nbsp;dancing duo. Ohrel’s videos are&nbsp;reliably grand and expensive. And this one feels huge, thanks to some otherworldly post-Soviet locations and opulent photography by feature DOP Ashley Barron, and a narrative drive that just keeps going. Right to the very end.

He builds claustrophobic tension, shot through with dark humour,&nbsp;largely through two elements not largely dependent upon budget: character and editing.

Pleasure becomes an artificial commodity in Zhang + Knight&#39;s sprawling, sinister clip for Ghostpoet.Initially shot overseas before running into some trouble (more on that in a few days time), the video depicts a haunting pre-apocalyptic world in which most of the finer things in life have become synthetic substitutions for the real thing. Pollution seems to be at a lethal high point, morale at a lethal low. A smog covers most of the promo, and slowly creeps through the characters lives - a constant ghostly reminder of a potential near-future.With moody&nbsp;compositions that feel like something out of a Gregory Crewdson book by way of Black Mirror, Zhang + Knight have crafted a world that&#39;s haunting in its nihilistic projections.
