The official single for Channel 4′s long-awaited sequel to Raymond Briggs’s The Snowman, Light The Night – written by Andy Burrows and Ilan Eshkeri – features in the iconic flying sequence of The Snowman and The Snowdog – just as ‘Walking in the Air’ featured in the flying sequence of the original – made back in 1982.

And now Light The Night has inspired a heartwarming video directed by Stefan Parker, featuring the story of a young boy desperately trying to follow in the footsteps of the snowman in his favourite film – which is The Snowman and The Snowdog.

And after countless failed attempts to fly using handcrafted devices, a young girl makes a wish on a star…
