And this time RC&#39;s Sophia Melvin talks to Joe Connor about his MVA-nominated video for Coldplay&#39;s Everglow.&nbsp;Not only does Joe&nbsp;reveal the secrets of how they achieved&nbsp;his scenario, where an ice dancer performs the routine of a couple on her own, he also explains how his concept had echoes in dancer Tanya Klobe&#39;s (and her invisible partner&#39;s)&nbsp;own backstory.&nbsp;The way he tells it is just about as moving as <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2017/03/21/coldplay-everglow-joe-connor" target="_blank">the video itself</a>.

Directing duo I Owe Youth has&nbsp;teamed up with North London singer-songwriter&nbsp;Zak Abel to make his new promo for Everybody Needs Love -&nbsp;where his soulful style of&nbsp;pop music meets table tennis.&nbsp;And boy, is Zak very good at both - as you might expect of someone who ditched the chance to be a table tennis pro for a music career.&nbsp;The video is a serious feat of coordination, with the multi-talented artist&nbsp;singing, dancing, and&nbsp;playing table tennis, in a demanding&nbsp;choreography&nbsp;where he doesn&#39;t miss a beat and hardly breaks a sweat.&nbsp;

Shot around his sold-out shows at the world-famous Troubadour club in West Hollywood, Tom Odell delivers a brilliant performance in Jamie Thraves&#39; excellent,&nbsp;thought-provoking new video for his song Another Love.Working on two levels as a short film and music promo, Tom is frantically on the search for a missing lover (played by Sarah Navratil), posting notices at every opportunity and culminating in one almighty twist.Writing on his website, Tom says: &quot;A few months back, a director called Jamie Thraves got in touch with an idea for a short film for Another Love. He&rsquo;s made some of my favourite videos and films and I jumped at the chance to work with him.&nbsp;&quot;I&rsquo;ve always been fascinated by the power of music in film and how they work together&nbsp;and Jamie&rsquo;s idea kinda blew me away. We shot it in LA a few weeks back, and I co-star with this dog called Patch and a brilliant actress.&quot;

Jonny Kight brings an unusual touch to his promo for Burns&#39; pounding club tune Limitless - unusual in that the club is a beautiful derelict church and the clubbers a bewigged king and his antique entourage.
Beautifully shot through layers of dust by DP Ciro Candia, the King (played by stage actor Richard Franklin) and his courtiers watch as ballet dancers Nic Zabilowicz and Natalie O&rsquo;Brient do their powerful stuff all juxtaposed by the thumping soundtrack...

'Demon Days' is a fabulous short focusing on the work of inventive super-chef Alvin Leung for culture mega-blog NOWNESS. It's a astounding array of incredible short shots and the effect is terrific. The film features top DoP David Procter putting Ryan's alien, culinary visuals into reality.
Ryan says: "The 'Demon Chef' project was always going to be a challenge to make, as with all my work I prefer to shoot everything 'in camera' and as this is hard in photography, its even more difficult in film. I believe shooting everything 'in camera' brings another dimension to the work that CGI can't bring. I met with Thomas Petherick (set designer) and David Procter (DoP) to discuss what I wanted to achieve. 
"There was lots of plans, drawings and ideas on techniques, cameras to use and how we can make sure everything is kept abstract. So working with macro lenses to play with object sizes, chemicals, explosives, blow torches, inks, speakers and blenders we set out to create an abstract World that referenced the importance of creativity, innovation, science &amp; food culture. From burning meat to look like meteorites, dripping liquid metal on to pineapple's to making steaks look like mountain ranges and creating Universes in blenders."
