The everyday commute to London is not all&nbsp;it seems, in the cheerful promo for Fred again.. by Lucy Hickling, aka LOOSE.&nbsp;Reworking vocals from Julia Michaels, ripped from one of her Instagram posts (with full permission of course), we see Fred in various city locations, typing on his laptop.As we follow his journey, however, it is revealed&nbsp;that Fred isn't typing, but instead creating the track and playing the piano on his laptop.No doubt a recognisable concept for many on-the-go music producers, Hickling turns an everyday occurence into the main focus of the concept, intermixed with short, day in the life vignettes.&nbsp;Switching between vertical aspect ratios and&nbsp;traditional 16:9, the cinematography matches the fluidity of the concept, feeling very much off the cuff and authentic.&nbsp;

Adam Powell delivers an alternate video&nbsp;for Blackbear's teen-rebel anthem Hot Girl Bummer, with a significantly higher&nbsp;budget and ambitious concept to boot.&nbsp;Taking a shot at a society full of fashion wannabes and "edgy" influencers, the track and accompanying visual give a very literal 'f*** you'&nbsp;to the current zeitgeist. Packed full of dystopian iconography and styling, the dark elements of the music are represented through moody cinematography, glitchy VFX and&nbsp;hauntingly desolate locations.&nbsp;Powell's talent for blurring the line between mainstream and the avant-garde is very much on show throughout this video, and this&nbsp;juxtaposition creates an engaging visual world in which Blackbear thrives.&nbsp;

The Orielles get stuck on a loop in Come Down On Jupiter, directed by Rose Hendry.&nbsp;A&nbsp;cup of tea crashing to the floor in a café triggers a series of repetitive events, reminiscent of the film Groundhog Day. Shot in a beautifully slow and considered style, DP Ian Forbes captures the melancholy of everyday life, the moments where nothing seems to be happening, with slow movements and carefully composed close-ups.The cyclical nature of the concept is mirrored by lots of spinning- fingers twirling around the rim of a cup, clock hands ticking, moving a salt shaker in a never-ending loop. It's a poignant and exciting setup which commands attention, and does so in a blissfully psychedlic way.&nbsp;

No Rome commands a&nbsp;brutalist world that revolves and evolves, in Adam Powell's video for Talk Nice.&nbsp;Stood against a&nbsp;wall and basketball hoop, the No Rome&nbsp;- aka&nbsp;Guendoline Rome Viray Gomez -&nbsp;confidently performs as the camera spins around him 360 degrees, creating a frenetic and experimental energy. Motion is the key theme in this visual, and whether it's the camera, the car or the dancers, things are always moving.Separate setups show two dancers exploring the world, jumping and looping together in harmony, and No Rome hanging from the basketball hoop, which grows ever higher into the sky. With each spin, the characters are in different positions, and even multiply on screen to create simultaneous versions of themselves.&nbsp;Powell's video is for the first release from No Rome's second album, which the artist has described, in <a href="https://www.nme.com/news/music/no-rome-talk-nice-life-has-a-price-to-pay-interview-dirty-hit-1975-2554050" target="_blank">a recent interview with NME</a>, as being&nbsp;"about these emotions that relate to cost and money." He added: "Adam Powell has been doing all my videos. This one is showing the contrast between masculinity and something else, as well as the cars and the concrete alongside humanity. There are two men dancing very gracefully around all of this stuff. It’s a very brutalist video, and that’s what I really love. I love things that are minimal and raw."

Wendy Morgan summons high art and street dance to capture the allure of Brussels-based Congolese artist Lous, for her El Guincho-produced debut Dilemme.Focusing on formations and composition, we see Lous and her backup artists in a variety of different settings, creating&nbsp;the same shapes and choreography in each one. Juxtaposing high fashion historical concepts, complete with palacial interiors and true to era wardrobe, with the raw energy of the street, the clash of ideas is a whirlwind of fashion and beautiful cinematography&nbsp;by Joel Honeywell.&nbsp;Lous does great work as she maintains a subdued yet emotional performance, and the frenetic and experimental energy of the Yakuza provides a balance to the action. The makeup and hair are suitably anachronistic, blending ideas from older time periods with futuristic fantasy, and the maximalist approach really pays off here. A marvellous&nbsp;introduction to an intriguing new artist.

Adam Powell&#39;s video for The 1975&#39;s&nbsp;Love It If We Made It throws out chunks of memorable imagery: colourful silhouettes of the band performing juxtaposed with a blaze of footage of modern news events and its most notorious figures; then an anonymous boyband dancing and a succession of headshots&nbsp;of ordinary young people.&nbsp;&nbsp;This brief excursion into showing how modern life has never been more rubbish, and frightening, with snatches of visual wit and humanity.&nbsp;The excellent song comes from the forthcoming album A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships, out at the end of November.
