David Wilson explores the breakdown of a nuclear family in his oddball promo for Glass Animals' Tangerine.&nbsp;Taking place on a surreal car journey - with vocalist Dave Bayley playing a Mother, Father and child at various ages - the story follows a typical modern day life-cycle... Boy meets girl, they have a&nbsp;kid, get annoyed with each other and end up splitting, just for the process to repeat when the kid reaches adolescence.The poignant message is wrapped in a layer of quirky imagery, with subtle visual effects allowing the three characters in tandem.The execution is top-notch, and a clever way to get around social distancing and the various challenges that have carried over from the year so far.[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;

Paloma Faith and director David Wilson lament the gentrification of London in brilliantly feisty fashion,&nbsp;in the wonderful&nbsp;promo for Gold.&nbsp;Decked out in a trademark whimsical dress and radiating heaps of&nbsp;energy, Paloma skips and dances down an East London market and into a building site, dangling from an excavator, kicking down doors, and just having a riotous time with some of her fellow, equally colourful&nbsp;residents.&nbsp;Paloma is magnetic as always, the supporting cast - all dancers in the Theo Adams Company - are great too, and DoP&nbsp;David Foulkes matches her energy in sweeping crane shots and fluid camera movement. A chicken mascot dreams of a free-range life in Humans' video for Kawala.Repeating the same routine day-to-day, the hapless worker - brilliantly played by&nbsp;Sy Thomas - is harrassed by the public and his colleagues as he tries his best to make it through each day. Cooped up inside the small shop, he cannot get a break - until a fist fight takes him over the edge.&nbsp;Sprinting through woodland with the contents of the till and some leftover flyers, our 'chicken' is finally free to live life on his own terms.&nbsp;&nbsp;Providing a funny yet poignant take on cruelty within the fast food industry, the visual draws many parallels between life as a minimum wage worker and the treatment of livestock. Simple yet effective, with a great performance by Thomas, the concept is a lighter take on an important conversation, and a great visual representation of the lyrics.&nbsp;

D Double E goes head-to-head with a dodgy estate agent (played by Steve Oram) in this very enjoyable video for Fresh N Clean by directing duo Humans.Oram attempts to talk D Double E's mates Denz and Renz into renting a terrible broken-down wreck of a house - but luckily D Double E is around to tell it straight. He is pithy, direct and very funny, with lines like:&nbsp;"If you're house was a car it would get pulled over."&nbsp;It's a brilliant&nbsp;antitode to all the spiel on those 'property porn' TV shows clogging up daytime TV (and Channel 4 most of the time).&nbsp;The concept is a straightforward response to the track but the execution by Thom and Danielle of Humans and their team&nbsp;really elevates it. Great.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Tom Rainsford celebrates Youth &amp; Love in his new video for&nbsp;Jack Savoretti featuring&nbsp;Mika, with the help of 77 year old veteran actor David Bradley.Bradley, known for his roles in the Harry Potter films and Game of Thrones, does a complete 180 (sometimes literally) in his embodiment of an aging man reflecting on the past. And in total contrast to the characters he usually plays, Bradley is fun, charming, even a little cheeky as he dances around an empty café.&nbsp;It is a&nbsp;very simple concept, executed perfectly. Rainsford has created a unexpected and unique&nbsp;visual for the summer-soaked&nbsp;track.&nbsp;

Area 51 meets 90s nostalgia in the new Weezer video, directed by Danilo Parra.Opening in a black and white point of view shot, we are introduced to a high school party in a massive garden and house. As we move towards the living room, we cut out of point of view, revealing a gangly alien with a freakishly long neck. He looks somewhat "go with the flow" in terms of attitude, however when two men dressed in hazmats come for him, he has to make a clever escape.It's a charming video with just the right amount of weird, and a brilliant comeback for Weezer.

Identical twins choose similar paths towards oblivion, in this Shakespearean family drama for British DJ-producer duo&nbsp;Camelphat.After saying goodbye to one another at a funeral, the brothers look for adoration in different places: one becomes a rockstar, the other becomes the leader of a cult. Through their search for control, they both spiral into self-destruction. They meet twice again. The first time, at the top of their game, they argue. But the second time, they meet under much graver&nbsp;circumstances.&nbsp;Charley Palmer Roe - who you may recognise as the spooky supporting character in absolutely everything - gives an alarming performance as both twins. The similarities between their separate lives are impressively realised with analogous compositions and match-cutting. The visual conceit drives the narrative, and there is exceptional work here by DoP Dustin Lane - shooting monochrome, as he did to award-winning effect for&nbsp;Alt-J’s Mexican epic <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2017/04/18/alt-j-3ww-young-replicant/47388">3WW</a>&nbsp;- and the director's regular editing collaborator Sam Bould.&nbsp;The Sacred Egg are still fairly fresh from their roles as second unit directors for Bohemian Rhapsody, and you can draw certain parallels between the Mercury biopic and this more insidious story. The duo are savvy enough to show us only a glimpse of this world before the video ends, leaving you curious. Who was the father of these men? Why were they drawn to take these paths and do the things they did?

A SNAFU of FYRE Festival proportions is saved at the last minute by director&nbsp;Max Siedentopf, who steps cheerily into Sigrid's role. Ironically, an apparent&nbsp;logistical cockup has made&nbsp;Mine Right Now&nbsp;a unique, winsome&nbsp;oddity, a&nbsp;tribute to teamwork and can-do optimism.Siedentopf, who is beginning to attract fans of his own,&nbsp;is endlessly memeable. If you have time, the YouTube comments section below his video is a treasure trove of #relatable jokes.&nbsp;The director explains his difficult situation below:"I’m very excited to share the latest music video I directed for the incredible pop artist Sigrid. However, this is not the video I was planning to shoot. We spent over a month preparing for the shoot which was supposed to be in the mountains of Bulgaria. We built all kinds of wonderful sets, however, the night before the shoot we found out that Sigrid wasn’t going to make it to the shoot due to several delayed and cancelled flights. A crew of over 40 people were left ready to shoot but with no artist to film. We could’ve decided to call it a day and just go home, but instead I was forced to take on the role of Sigrid and play her throughout the entire video. A funny irony as I usually come up with ideas but never have to play them myself."As you can imagine, everything is out of sync and my dance moves are so awkward they make you cringe, and my biggest fear is singing in public - you’ll never see me doing Karaoke!&nbsp;However that wasn’t the only thing that went wrong, during the shoot we had big weather storms, our sets collapsed, we got chased from the mountain by park rangers, there was a serial killer on the loose in the area, my dog passed away and much more. The shoot quickly turned into the FYRE festival of music videos but we decided to just keep on going and make a video for Sigrid.&nbsp;Big thanks goes out to my amazing team who all had the nerves, patience and humour to go through with this. I hope you enjoy it."
