Sam Ryder, the UK's impressive runner-up at this year's Eurovision Song Contest with Spaceman, returns to action with another irrepressible performance in Alex Southam's celebratory song-and-dance production for Somebody.For the unapologetically sunny track, Southam puts his own spin upon a great tradition of videos that have reimagined the old-school Hollywood musical. And that turns out to be&nbsp;pretty much the ideal vehicle for&nbsp;Ryder's larger-than-life persona.In a picture-perfect European city, Ryder&nbsp;bounces through main street, finding dance partners at the café and cinema, launching himself from a scissor lift,&nbsp;and stopping off for a quick snip at the barbers before multiplying before our eyes in his big finale. He busts some unfeasible moves in a various ways&nbsp;that recall those classic Spike Jonze videos for Bjork's Oh So Quiet and Fatboy Slim's Weapon Of Choice. And finally director and artist put there own playful twist on the classic Texas Switch.[imgtoken data:1]"The brief for the video came with a few buzz words - fun, quirky, sunny, bright, bold and joyful - and so that's exactly the sort of video we set out to make," explains Southam.&nbsp;"A handful of film references were shared,&nbsp;one of which is probably glaringly apparent in the final video. But we wanted to up the ante and make it feel super-playful - with it's tongue firmly wedged in its cheek - so that's when the use of doubles and the Texas Switch came into play."The video was filmed in Belgrade, on what Southam describes as "one of the most bonkers backlots I've ever seen." It was also in the middle&nbsp;of the extreme heatwave that has scorched Europe this summer, but "we had an absolute blast making it," he says."I want to call out DoP Murren Tullett’s stellar work and Jay Revell on choreography duty - those boys came correct. But to be fair everyone smashed it.&nbsp;I'm still gutted we didn’t get to use the jet-ski set-up - but I did throw a man off a scissor lift, so its all swings and roundabouts."As for Sam Ryder, can he really be as unfeasibly cheerful as he seems? "Sam is the real deal," asserts Southam. "A genuine and super upbeat chap always with a smile. So we wanted to capture him spreading those good vibes around and highlight his infectious personality."

KC Locke taps into the mystique of masked rapper M Huncho, referencing fantasy stories and cinema in an imaginative fashion,&nbsp;in&nbsp;the latest edition of Apple Music Agenda Live series.On Doomsday, Huncho explicitly references the late MF Doom, from whom he has inherited his masked persona, and who was himself inspired by Marvel super-villain Doctor Doom. So Locke provides Huncho with his own superhero origin story in a movie-like setting - a huge cave, set in a mountain peak. His very own Fortress of Solitude, in order to reflect on his life.[imgtoken data:1]"I was very excited to work on this project, especially as it was my second Agenda Live visual," he says.&nbsp;"I felt like I had to approach it completely differently than I did the first time, while also staying true to the DNA of the Agenda series."I wanted to push the boundaries and make something very different that co-existed between the Apple Agenda series and M Huncho’s Chasing Euphoria album in my own KC Locke way!<blockquote>I wanted to reveal who is the mind behind the mask...</blockquote>"For this video I really wanted to tap into Huncho’s identity, something he’s always been very elusive [about]. I wanted to reveal who is the mind behind the mask in a way which is respectful to his legacy, but gives the audience an introspective vision they haven’t seen before.[imgtoken data:2]"It opens on Huncho’s wise words and life lessons as a spoken-word piece, before transitioning in a dreamlike manner [to reveal] an experimental performance inside a huge underground cave network - where we find Huncho searching for his euphoria!"I drew references from fantasy worlds while conceptualizing this visual to really build on the mystique of the M Huncho universe and origin story. I like to place the artists I work with into their own universes as if they were characters in their own origin films."

Louis Bhose pays homage to those classic teen films of the 80s made by the guy in the songtitle, then gives it a good old twist.&nbsp;In his darkly comic promo for Maisie Peters' John Hughes Movie, Bhose presents a world in which Maisie is an&nbsp;outsider, desperate to get the guy but always missing out.&nbsp;When she is at home, she is stalked by a raunchy couple who can't seem to get a room - their own one, anyway. And just when it seems all hope is lost, Bhose delivers an unexpected yet brilliant twist.&nbsp;Washed with neon lighting and gritty textures, the video is a welcome step outside of the mainstream, and boasts a perfect balance between vintage and contemporary aesthetics.&nbsp;

Pip + Lib explore mental health and the stigma of speaking out, in their touching visual for HYYTS.&nbsp;In a nondescript pub,&nbsp;inhabited by a handful of regulars and an increasingly angsty bartender,&nbsp;karaoke night is in full swing. Adam from HYYTS is next up on-stage, singing&nbsp;along to barely readable lyrics on an old&nbsp;computer monitor.&nbsp;The&nbsp;poignant performance is in striking contrast&nbsp;to the emotionless audience, who represent a society that&nbsp;still very much believe&nbsp;in the idea of keeping a&nbsp;stiff upper lip&nbsp;and hiding any emotion.&nbsp;It's a beautifully minimalist piece, enhanced by the everyday, universal setting, and the Glaswegian pop duo's ability to visualise a whirlwind of emotion&nbsp;in a single glance or dance move. Although in fact, Karl Benjamin has commented that the song is all about breaking out of a rut. “To me, Apricot Sky&nbsp;is the realisation that someone, or even something, around you can change your life almost completely."DoP&nbsp;Murren Tullett contrasts subtle camera movement with static, fly-on-the-wall shots, creating an almost serene aesthetic which is endlessly comforting, but full of haunting undertones.&nbsp;

Chloe Hughes directs a Loony Tunes-inspired video&nbsp;for Therapist, full of tongue-in-cheek humour and vintage&nbsp;animation.&nbsp;Mae Muller plays the role of an underappreciated girlfriend, dragging herself through various situations to try and appease her apathetic boyfriend. He dreams of weed and pizza. She dreams of a Prince Charming who is the antithesis of her current lover. They're a match made in Hell, and Mae is trying to pull herself out of it.&nbsp;Romantic cinematography and blown out highlights represent an ideal world where things are just right, and it's a great juxtaposition to the truth she is living day-to-day. Mae's performance is both hypnotic and relatable, and you can't help but roll your eyes for her as she battles with the manchild by her side.The addition of the cartoon segments scattered throughout the video is reminiscent of the slapstick humour found in early animation, and represents the artist's internal monologue.&nbsp;And&nbsp;it was actually possible&nbsp;(and legal) to take your boyfriend out with an anvil and start afresh, Mae Muller would clearly be first in line.&nbsp;
