Ama Lou self-directs the&nbsp;promo for Same Old Ways, where contrary to the title of the song, tradition gets a welcome makeover.&nbsp;In the video - made in collaboration with The North Face -&nbsp;we follow the induction of two inner city kids (Ama&nbsp;and her friend) on their first day of boarding school. At the start, the viewer is set up to anticipate the worst for the pupils as they enter a daunting environment. But instead, they are welcomed with open arms, having a great time taking&nbsp;part in some classic old English boarding school activities.&nbsp;Excitable and celebratory,&nbsp;the video - shot by Ama's sister Mahalia John - is full of feelgood vibes, and the breathtaking setting is an excellent location for the camaraderie to ensue.&nbsp;

A cocktail bar becomes the setting for a relatable comedy of manners and social embarrassment in Ricky Gibb's promo for Miles From Kinshasa's smooth Motionz.Miles and his compadre Murkage Dave are out for a quiet drink, when Dave realises that one of the few other people in the&nbsp;bar is his ex-girlfriend. Gibb then allows a slow-burning comedy drama to develop between all the characters in the room, as everyone enjoys Dave's discomfort. And it turns out this also comes with a side order of surrealism.&nbsp;&nbsp;It's a stylish and quirky promo in which the director explores the familiar and humorous ways how communication can become strained when we are placed under certain duress.

Pleasure becomes an artificial commodity in Zhang + Knight&#39;s sprawling, sinister clip for Ghostpoet.Initially shot overseas before running into some trouble (more on that in a few days time), the video depicts a haunting pre-apocalyptic world in which most of the finer things in life have become synthetic substitutions for the real thing. Pollution seems to be at a lethal high point, morale at a lethal low. A smog covers most of the promo, and slowly creeps through the characters lives - a constant ghostly reminder of a potential near-future.With moody&nbsp;compositions that feel like something out of a Gregory Crewdson book by way of Black Mirror, Zhang + Knight have crafted a world that&#39;s haunting in its nihilistic projections.

It&#39;s an entertaining and adroit treatment of the theme of the song.
