Pip + Lib direct a poignant promo exploring the breakdown of a friendship, for Mathilda Homer's Rock Bottom.&nbsp;As the artist rides in the backseat of a car cruising down forest roads, there is an air of awkwardness as none of the characters talk to each other. There is the suggestion of a fight, or an undiscussed rut keeping them from connecting.&nbsp;Interweaving portrait style shots of Homer, with abstract vignettes of the three characters, it's a breezy visual with plenty of backstory to imagine and uncover... and some very decent fire effects at the end.&nbsp;

Chirolles Khalil tells the story of the trials and tribulations of a young couple starting on their life together, in&nbsp;the promo for Preditah featuring WSTRN.&nbsp;Presented as a series of day-in-the-life vignettes, the visual follows a couple as they move from the early days of bliss to the regularity of life as they settle down,&nbsp;and the obstacles&nbsp;to their future happiness - largely from the female perspective.&nbsp;Khalil presents this familiar situation with sensitivity, and makes it both engaging and thought-provoking. Olivia Lockhart and&nbsp;Aden Dzuda give standout performances as the couple who you would love to succeed, leading an excellent ensemble cast.&nbsp;DoP&nbsp;Fola Abatan uses a contrast&nbsp;of relaxed, steady camera movement and frenetic, blink-and-you'll-miss-it&nbsp;cutaways, to reinforce the emotions that play out on screen. Ultimately this is a universal story that has been impressively told.

Mabel designs her ideal man in Isaac Rentz's&nbsp;90s-inspired video for Boyfriend.&nbsp;The video opens with Mabel and friends using a futuristic LCD screen, swiping through schematics of various men. There's the nice guy, the sweet guy, the bad guy - and when the perfect man is just a click or a swipe away, why not indulge and see what's out there?&nbsp;Mabel does just that, awakening several different subjects and interacting with them in a glass room, but ultimately decides&nbsp;she is better off with her girls.&nbsp;DP&nbsp;Alexandre Jamin utilises bold colours and&nbsp;FX lights to create a dynamic and vibrant aesthetic, which is matched by&nbsp;Lucie Red's impeccable art direction. Mabel's performance brings the heat and switches up the pace through several impressive dance setups. Cinematic, and with a heavy dose of nostalgia, this is a brilliant promo pulled off by a talented creative team.&nbsp;

New director Chirolles Khalil directs a semi-autobiographical promo for Enter The Jungle,&nbsp;which revisits Tokio's youth and his struggle to choose&nbsp;between his passion for music and social expectations.&nbsp;Nestled in a small room within a tower block, Tokio has his head down as he repeatedly runs through chords on his keyboard. We see the young artist dip his feet into the quintessential aspects of teenage life - hanging with friends in the park, having a first puff of a cigarette, playing sports - but nothing compares to the high he gets from being in his room, making music and exploring the depths of his artistry.&nbsp;With a high-energy performance from Myers and Akala, the patchwork of different moments in the artist's life mirror the structure of the track, at times sounding like a full-on James Bond theme, and conversely like low-key bedroom rap. The sum of the different parts blend brilliantly to form a unique project with a fresh perspective."We wanted to show that we were not always a product of our environment but are who we choose to be", explains Khalil.&nbsp;The sheer ambition and scale of the video marks him out as a talent to watch out for.&nbsp;

In true lad style, J Grrey ventures to a local pub free from any inhibitions, and laughs, drinks and smokes with her mates.&nbsp;The concept is simple but the idea of flipping the script is inspired, and the combination of ambitious camerawork and low-key VFX round off the project nicely.&nbsp;
