Directors Jacob Bixenham and Brendan Walker keep things admirably focussed in their latest outing with Miley: a single set-up that allows the artist's charismatic performance of Used To Be Young to hold centre stage - and allow the viewer to digest the odd easter egg.None more so than the T-shirt under her dress, referencing her Disney-dominated youth. And of course, there are echoes of Sinead O'Connor's Nothing Compares 2 U, recalling&nbsp;her&nbsp;feisty exchange with Sinead following her&nbsp;Wrecking Ball video. So now Sinead is gone, there is something really quite poignant about this.&nbsp;

Vania Heymann and Gal Muggia pay homage to the plucky spirit of a lobster, in the brilliantly absurd promo for Dua Lipa's We're Good.&nbsp;Taken from the&nbsp;deluxe edition of&nbsp;hit album Future Nostalgia, this is a gentle and seductive track with a completely unexpected visual treatment by the Israeli directing duo that has brought us a number of modern classics, like <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2016/05/17/coldplay-upup-vania-heymann-and-gal-muggia/41368" target="_blank">Coldplay's Up&amp;Up</a> and <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2019/06/28/tove-lo-glad-hes-gone-vania-heymann-gal-muggia/59501" target="_blank">Tove Lo's Glad He's Gone</a>.&nbsp;Set within a dining hall aboard a luxury cruise liner, Dua&nbsp;is dressed head to toe in flapper fashion, performing to the passengers as they tuck into luxurious seafood dinners. From a lobster's perspective, we see it's friends being taken and boiled alive, before an unexpected tragedy gives it an unlikely shot at freedom, seemingly in cohorts with the artist at the very end.&nbsp;&nbsp;It's a striking and playful concept - putting a positive spin on a famous, indeed Titanic&nbsp;disaster - which is&nbsp;elevated by&nbsp;Misha Levchenko and team's opulent art direction and&nbsp;Marcell Rév's cinematography - not to mention the extensive visual effects.&nbsp;

Kali Uchis embraces the darkness in UKMVA-nominated director Amber Grace Johnson's video for Solita.&nbsp;Dripping with sci-fi references and imagery, our first glance of Uchis is entombed in a concrete and glass coffin in the middle of the desert. Singing for the first time in both English and Spanish, the artist exudes sultry confidence, and across a series of vignettes we are introduced to various facets of her&nbsp;character.From performing&nbsp;in the white sand with a snake, to hypnotising a guy who is watching her poledance - and consequently kicking him in the face - the narrative is by no means straightforward, but one thing is clear: Kali does not mess around. The artist thrives in these conceptual setups, and whilst the project could have been a little too mismatched under a different director, Johnson executes it perfectly with her style, formed from having worked with some of the top talent in the world.&nbsp;"This song is about healing, freedom and embracing the mixed emotions that come with that," says Kali Uchis of Solita.&nbsp;"I hope my fans feel sexy when they listen to it. I’m so excited to share more.&nbsp;The vibe was sad, yet horny. There’s a little bit of sexiness in it, but it’s also nostalgic."The hook basically translates to, ‘I’d rather dance alone than with the devil.’ I think that just goes back to wanting to feel empowered about independence, rather than feel like, ‘Oh, poor me, I’m alone.’ It’s not really like that.”

Labrinth enters an idyllic dreamscape, and encounters two characters, a boy and a young man - arguably representations of aspects of his own psyche - in Charles Todd's&nbsp;video for Something's Got To Give.This is the second part of Labrinth’s “Miracle” trilogy - following <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2019/06/13/labrinth-miracle-sacha-barbin/59191" target="_blank">the video by Sacha Barbin for Miracle</a>, an allegorical story of a young boy who exchanges&nbsp;his imagination for power and wealth, in a Faustian deal with a mysterious stranger. Here Labrinth is repeatedly offered different&nbsp;paths by his own man and boy characters - a metaphor for his own&nbsp;personal struggle with imagination, creativity and the highs and lows of being in the music industry - and is pushed to the limit in order to find himself.&nbsp;Todd brought the DP Marcell Rev to the project, best known for his innovative work on HBO’s Euphoria, the series Labrinth scored, starring Zendaya and executive produced by Drake.

This delightful video for&nbsp;Chicano singer-songwriter Cuco explores the lives and loves of the people in Cuco&#39;s neighbourhood in LA - with the help of&nbsp;Mariachi Lindas Mexicanas, an all-female traditional mariachi group.Kinoproavda turn the video for&nbsp;Amor De Siempre into a multi-layered tapestry of characters, the complexities of their love lives (past and present) adorned with art - mainly in the form of adorably quirky stitched messages and symbols on articles of clothing (who did this?) and tattoos that are so great that even an anti-tattoo person may want to get one - with Cuco and his mariachi band often in close attendance.&nbsp;It&#39;s all done with a lightness of touch that perfectly suits the charming Cuco and his music. Fabulous.
