Drake needs to call&nbsp;in a big favour, to stop Khaled bugging him about making the video for POPSTAR.Cue an entertaining, deconstructed&nbsp;pop video staring Justin Bieber as Drake&nbsp;- which turns out to be JB's weird dream. Its top drawer stuff from Julien Lutz, a master of this craft. And Drake actually does a reasonable acting job in this one.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Paul Thomas Anderson ushers in the return of Haim with a gorgeous 35mm live session.The slow, creeping, voyeuristic aesthetic of the clip sits wonderfully within PTA&#39;s style - the master director is not afraid to let takes run exceptionally long (which seems counterintuitive in a music video) by not letting the camera cut until three minutes and forty seconds into a four and a half minute track. Instead, he lets the camera wander curiously around the studio, letting all the ambient sound filter in amongst the performance. It becomes immersive - as though you&#39;re walking through the performance yourself. Who needs VR when you have Kodak film?

&nbsp;Jamie-James Medina delivers two beautifully simple pieces of video for Sampha.Using delicate choreography, a simple studio setting, and subtly mesmerising VFX, the clip shows Sampha sitting at his piano whilst the room around him swirls with the dust of his co-star&#39;s dwindling physical form.The long form version of this video relies on the interplay between the two characters to underline the delicate beauty of the visuals and the track itself, whereas the shorter version is an immersive VR piece that allows you to take Sampha&#39;s place at the piano and see that beauty from a first-person perspective. Using VR as a companion piece to a larger, more traditional video format makes for a compelling interplay between the two and is one of the more immersive and rewarding VR experiences in music videos&nbsp;of late.

Paul Thomas Anderson&#39;s third video for Radiohead&#39;s album A Moon-Shaped Pool follows the template of the second for <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hgVihWjK2c" target="_blank">Present Tense</a>. It&#39;s Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, a CR78 (apparently, whatever that is), outside in the country,&nbsp;and it&#39;s live.Like Present Tense, it&#39;s&nbsp;a bit of an anti-video, and not the enigmatic masterpiece that is Anderson&#39;s pondered-over video for&nbsp;Daydreaming. But, there&#39;s still something special about this. First and foremost, there&#39;s the evidence, if any were needed, that Greenwood is a bit of a&nbsp;guitar player.&nbsp;The set-up brings to mind&nbsp;Garth Jennings and Adam Buxton&#39;s&nbsp;string of videos for Radiohead&#39;s In Rainbows album, created over an&nbsp;intense long weekend of online broadcasts, which included&nbsp;Yorke and Greenwood driving through Oxfordshire&nbsp;countryside at speed to perform an impromptu version of Faust Arp on a rainspecked hillside in the last moments of daylight. Here&#39;s the Californian version.

A mere three days after their last offering - the hypnotic Trumpton and Wicker Man-referencing&nbsp;<a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2016/05/04/radiohead-burn-witch-chris-hopewell" target="_blank">Burn The Witch&nbsp;video</a> &ndash; Radiohead&nbsp;continue the push around their new album A Moon Shaped Pool&nbsp;by giving us this gorgeous, sleepy video for Daydreaming.Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson (director remarkable movies such as Magnolia,&nbsp;There Will Be Blood,The Master and Inherent Vice)&nbsp;it follows Thom Yorke as he meanders through doorways into a disconnected series of locations searching for something. Anything, really.&nbsp;It&#39;s a simple and beautiful meditation that fits well into the PT Anderson music video ouevre of &#39;not much happens, really... but maybe actually everything happens and the experience is totally subjective and therefore yours to glean. It&#39;s bloody nice to look at though.&#39;&nbsp;Which is essentially the feeling you get from watching this, or the video he made last year for&nbsp;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ky9Ro9pP2gc" target="_blank">Joanna Newsom&#39;s&nbsp;Sapokanikan</a>.However you feel about it, the seamless cuts between such contrasting locations is still a stunning thing to observe.

Canadian experimental pop star&nbsp;Grimes has traded&nbsp;in her celestial vocal delivery&nbsp;for more&nbsp;decipherable&nbsp;pop songs&nbsp;in&nbsp;Flesh Without Blood &amp;&nbsp;Life In The Vivid Dream, channeling her unbridled vision into this&nbsp;mystifying,&nbsp;colourful and bloody double-feature&nbsp;video instead.The trippy, nearly seven-minute long video, which was directed, art directed, edited and coloured by the artist herself, sees her&nbsp;embodying&nbsp;multiple&nbsp;off-shoots of her&nbsp;chameleonic persona. And the characters may seem playful&nbsp;(they&nbsp;include a fallen angel toting a pink cowboy hat and a&nbsp;fluo-glam&nbsp;Marie Antoinette)&nbsp;but end up looking&nbsp;like they&#39;re straight out of a particularly savage&nbsp;beauty (and bloody)&nbsp;Alexander&nbsp;McQueen&nbsp;catwalk.
