A love story blossoms in the most unlikely of locations, in Fred Rowson's playful promo for Mae Muller.&nbsp;The video for I Just Came To Dance plays out like a Gucci shoot on a golf course, with a bit of The Virgin Suicides thrown in for good measure, and sees Mae attract the attention of a golfing guy with gorgeous looks but&nbsp;a flatlining personality.[imgtoken data:1]Mae can’t decide whether she wants to get with him or kill him. So, instead, she toys with him.Conceptually opposite to the lyrics of the track - you are definitely not meant to be busting moves in the middle of a golf course, but that doesn't&nbsp;stop&nbsp;Muller and friends -&nbsp;the video is imbued with director Fred Rowson's comedic, slightly surreal style, and it will keep viewers on their toes throughout.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The Trash Factory (James Arden)&nbsp;and Dan Smith, lead singer of Bastille, co-direct the promo for No Bad Days - a story of love, loss and the intersection of humanity and technology.&nbsp;As well as co-directing a Bastille video for the first time, Dan Smith plays a scientist who is trying to bring back the essence of his deceased love into the form of a robot - both played by Amber Jean Rowan. She gives a multi-layered performance, cycling through different characters and emotions with ease, while Smith matches this energy with his own seamless performance.&nbsp;Xander Mitchell's art direction elevates the piece to a new level, peppering the space with high-tech screens and gadgets, whilst ensuring the environment is still anchored in some sort of reality.The story, heaped with some familiar sci-fi movie references,&nbsp;also plays powerfully with the theme of the song No Bad Days, as Smith's audacious, ground-breaking experiment&nbsp;promises the end of misery - indeed the end of Death itself...[imgtoken data:1]

Oliva Rose uncovers a UFO conspiracy, in the dystopian&nbsp;promo for Lancey Foux's Steelo Flow.&nbsp;Paying homage to sci-fi iconography and retro obsessions with extraterrestrials, a janitor is glued to several monitors, hoping to get a glimpse of alien life.&nbsp;He lucks out when he spots Foux in an industrial warehouse, mounted upon a motorcycle in a frenetic and exciting performance setup. Between the strobes and snapshots of his exposed face, something isn't quite right...&nbsp;Refreshingly unique and futuristic, Rose pushes current trends aside and digs deep into the rich subject matter, and gets an extraordinary performance from the artist to anchor the whole project.&nbsp;

Maxim Kelly employs 19th century tech to create a mesmerising, appropriately-shaped video for Django Django's Spirals, the band's first new material since 2018.By recreating the Phénakisticope, a pre-cinematic invention to create 'motion pictures', Kelly has created&nbsp;a series of mandala-like circular patterns, encompassing images of Django lead singer David Maclean, that animate as they spin around. As they do so, they also replicate the spiralling effect that's referenced in the lyrics and also the music.This smart visual idea takes the viewer on a psychedelic experience that also sits perfectly with the band's canon&nbsp;of inventive visuals for their music.The single will be available to stream and download on all the usual digital platforms and also as a 10” vinyl b/w exclusive track The Ark, available from www.djangodjango.co.uk and all independent record shops.

Greg Barth's has smuggled&nbsp;humour&nbsp;and satire into his bright and colourful pop videos for Easy Life, and this one for Nice Guys is their wildest&nbsp;and zaniest collaboration yet.&nbsp;&nbsp;The&nbsp;band are the guest performers on a bizarre TV talk show - where the audience are whipped up by a host who is akin to a cult leader - that's disrupted by a Trumpalike and descends into mayhem. It's crazy - while the band manage to keep their cool, led by affably charismatic frontman Murray. Just don't say it couldn't happen.&nbsp;

After helming the first few videos from the new album Metronomy Forever, frontman Joseph Mount cedes directing duties to old collaborator Dan Brereton. Very good move.This reunion of the minds that brought us the first Metronomy videos over a decade ago, has now produced a lovely video for Wedding Bells - simple in concept, extremely artful and accomplished in its execution.It's a house party, where now five-piece band are gamely playing in the corner. But this get-together of hormonal teenagers is not what we might expect: its daytime, there's little sign of booze, there's lots of nice party food. Indeed, it really does resemble a much younger person's party.In the midst, one lad becomes smitten with a girl... who is with another guy. But within the logic of the piece - an afternoon nap, a dream sequence, and things getting&nbsp;out of hand in a kid's party way - things may work out...From the location to the casting, art direction and photography in 4:3 by Ruben Woodin Dechamps, this is as good a Metronomy video as we've seen in a while. And lovely to see the band back with Dan Brereton - they&nbsp;always come up with good ones.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;

Tom Dream takes Friendly Fires back to the golden age of TV pop performance in the video for Silhouettes - his first since becoming the&nbsp;newest addition to the UK roster at Black Dog Films.Inspired by the Italian interval Eurovision performance in 1978, the video sees Tom take the band back to a time of disco choreography, silk shirts, and well-heeled boots - and arrives ahead of the group’s third LP, Inflorescent.It's the latest in a run of music videos, for Art School Girlfriend, LYRA, and most recently <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2019/06/06/lany-ft-julia-michaels-okay-tom-dream/59030" target="_blank">LANY feat Julia Michaels</a>, that has brought Tom Dream increasing attention as an up and coming director in UK music videos.
