Dave Free and&nbsp;Kendrick Lamar direct a poignant performance promo for Count Me Out.&nbsp;We meet&nbsp;Kendrick by his piano, deep in thought until he is interrupted by his therapist - played by the inimitable Helen Mirren - who encourages him to continue his session.&nbsp;The video then splits off into a series of abstract vignettes, which each artistically interpret the lyrics into something photographic and emotionally stirring.&nbsp;The composition is also inspired, placing intimate shots of Mirren and Lamar on opposing sides of the frame, in the manner of a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triptych" target="_blank">triptych in medieval art</a>,&nbsp;allowing viewers to take in the emotions from both sides, whilst experiencing the vignettes in the middle.Brilliant work, with a moving message.&nbsp;

Following the brilliant intensity of <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2022/05/10/kendrick-lamar-heart-part-5-dave-free-kendrick-lamar/76299" target="_blank">The Heart Part 5</a>, something less intense but hardly less brilliant for N95 - another track from Kendrick Lamar's much anticipated and already much-dissected new album Mr Morale &amp; The Big Steppers.As per, it's directed by Kendrick and Dave Free. BRTHR direct&nbsp;a&nbsp;ferociously glamorous video for&nbsp;Chemtrails Over the Country Club, the title track of Lana Del Rey's&nbsp;new album.&nbsp;The director duo - Alex Lee and Kyle Wightman - are well known for their hyperstylised aesthetic, full of vibrant colours, vintage effects and experimental camera movement. There's plenty of that here, but it never overwhelms the poignancy&nbsp;of the melancholic narrative.&nbsp;The concept features a group of women - Del Rey included - whose lives we view with the contrast of night and day; refined&nbsp;poolside elegance vs their primal, unleashed selves.The frenetic&nbsp;visuals aren't the most immediately obvious pairing to the artist's haunting soundscapes, but the risk has paid off - the resulting project is endlessly watchable and all-consuming in the best way.&nbsp;

Jamie Thraves delivers a compelling double-feature for The All-American Rejects.After proving his acting chops in Amazon&#39;s hit show&nbsp;Preacher,&nbsp;this complex story of a double life comes as no problem to the band&#39;s frontman Tyson Ritter. We first meet Ritter as Betsy - a sex worker on the streets. She gets arrested and escapes via a wonderfully choreographed street dance - with choreography by Michael Rooney. At this point Betsy becomes Robert - a wealthy man who seems to have it all, or at least makes it his business to appear as if he does.Robert&#39;s surprise party becomes a melancholy affair in which he seems completely out of his comfort zone, and the two halves of the video become a study in identity and loneliness. Can Robert stand to spend time with anybody if money isn&#39;t being exchanged? Is it really all in his head? Thraves lets the work say whatever it likes to you and makes you sit there and contemplate it.

Quentin Dupieux (better known to the world&nbsp;as Mr. Oizo) has delivered an hilariously surreal American Road Movie of sorts for Metronomy&#39;s Night Owl (from the new album Summer 08), with band frontman&nbsp;Joseph Mount taking the starring role. He then proceeds to meet a series of grisly ends in the middle of desert, at the hands of the people close to him - including co-star and cult film director&nbsp;Zoe Cassavetes.Of course it&#39;s not just as straight forward as a series of murder vignettes - Dupieux makes no attempt here to hide the mannequin used to replace Mount as he&#39;s murdered. It looks hilarous and leaves the audience wondering if we&#39;re just watching the unedited B-roll of some low budget thriller.The grim reaper himself makes a few appearances and Mount even manages to uncover his shoes that for some reason were buried in the desert.&nbsp;Oh, and of course there are human brains crawling about the place like unwanted vermin...

Elliott Sellers&#39; new video for&nbsp;Ty Dolla $ign&#39;s When I See Ya is all visual euphemisms&nbsp;for lady parts in the form of hallways and wet orchids. Sellers also highlighted Ty&#39;s gleaming bedroom&nbsp;eyes, turning them into&nbsp;a visual motif taking the form of an&nbsp;omnipresent gaze, transforming into a third eye on his forehead as well as an all-seeing presence&nbsp;in the night sky...There&#39;s also plenty of visuals boasting&nbsp;Ty&#39;s sexual prowess, including an&nbsp;exploding pillow, and clips of him in a room full of matresses and women. Not too subtle perhaps, but then again, subtlety was clearly not the aim!
