Royal Blood 'How Did We Get So Dark?' by The Sacred Egg

The Sacred Egg&#39;s vision of the future is not all that cheery in Arcade Fire&#39;s new video for&nbsp;Everything Now.With the remnants of satellites littering the barren desert landscape, children playing among the waste and the floating cacti, and an endless team of people in hazmat suits combing the earth for clues, it&#39;s a dystopia that feels a little too real in wake of recent American political missteps in the field of climate change. Tied together through the decaying infrastructure, the various dystopian vignettes cast a bleak, but beautifully shot, view of the future. Intercut with a stylish-as-ever performance from Arcade Fire who sit right in amongst the desert themselves (next to a brilliant, entirely useless billboard that intentionally blends into the backdrop and also serves as the artwork for the album).

South African photographer and filmmaker Sean Metelerkamp&nbsp;has created a brilliant, eye-boggling&nbsp;visual treatment for experimental hip-hop outfit Death Grips, pretty much unlike anything else out there.It&#39;s a bit of a mystery how Metelerkamp - known for his groundbreaking work with&nbsp;Die Antwoord &ndash; has pulled this off. But&nbsp;conventional video footage has certainly&nbsp;been transformed, and&nbsp;the power relationship between a couple (played by Metelerkamp and Nina Milner) has been&nbsp;rendered strange and otherworldly by their figures turned&nbsp;into forms of colourful wave-like lines.And this gives an additional frisson to the action, which sees&nbsp;the dynamic between the couple completely turn around, as dominated female plaything wreaks awesome revenge...&nbsp;

Shot on location in South Africa, Vaughan Arnell&#39;s uplifting video for The Script&#39;s Superheroes is a both an original, arguably unique performance video, and also a timely celebration of human endeavour and spirit in the face of insurmountable odds.Vaughan - who makes a brief cameo himself &ndash; and his crew and the band&nbsp;went to a township in Johannesburg to film the performance element - and it was lit entirely by flares held by locals. The connection between The Script and the surrounding crowd is obvious - particularly at the end of the video.And in a stirring narrative element&nbsp;we also glimpse true hardship, refracted through hope - the&nbsp;story of a father working tremendously hard to help bring up his young daughter. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

The Script 'Superheroes' by Vaughan Arnell

Yes, that is Lily Allen on a proper zebra, in the official video for Lily&#39;s Air Balloon, shot in sunny South Africa, and directed by Noel and Stefan of That Go, going back to the very colourful and upbeat aesthetic of their early work.Lily also gets what looks like genuinely&nbsp;up-close and personal with a cheetah (probably quite&nbsp;briefly), as the camera never stops moving - it&#39;s the eponymous air balloon, going airborne and then back down to earth.&nbsp;And what&#39;s more, Nelson Mandela gets a special credit...&nbsp;&nbsp;
