South African photographer and filmmaker Sean Metelerkamp has created a brilliant, eye-boggling visual treatment for experimental hip-hop outfit Death Grips, pretty much unlike anything else out there.

It's a bit of a mystery how Metelerkamp - known for his groundbreaking work with Die Antwoord – has pulled this off. But conventional video footage has certainly been transformed, and the power relationship between a couple (played by Metelerkamp and Nina Milner) has been rendered strange and otherworldly by their figures turned into forms of colourful wave-like lines.

And this gives an additional frisson to the action, which sees the dynamic between the couple completely turn around, as dominated female plaything wreaks awesome revenge...
