A fantastical beast&nbsp;is on the run in Jess Kohl's offbeat promo for Heartbreaker - and it's up to Birdy to find and take care of him.The artist is shown cleaning tables at a&nbsp;cafe&nbsp;under the watchful eye of the owner, and it isn't long until a news alert pops up on the TV screen that mentions the beast. That night, the creature visits Birdy at her house, and she takes it upon herself to protect him, right until a twist at the end.&nbsp;The anachronistic aesthetic - which blends 90s public access TV clips and 70s art direction - gives the video an unearthly vibe, which is elevated by brilliant creature effects and an intriguing&nbsp;narrative that doesn't end quite the way you expect it to.&nbsp;

Director Oscar Sansom delivers another striking visual work for Biffy Clyro,&nbsp;this time in the form of a ten-minute long concept encapsulating two tracks.&nbsp;The first segment of the video&nbsp;is a paint-drenched performance concept, featuring the group in an industrial warehouse, playing whilst kicking, throwing and splattering blue paint everywhere.[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;The second part of the video takes a more abstract, surreal turn, narratively exploring a cult-like group in the forest, with glitchy vignettes of people running away, circling the group and the appearance of enigmatic black squares floating in the atmosphere.&nbsp;A regular collaborator with the band, Oscar has created a truly striking work here which features some incredible visual moments, intriguing storytelling, and explosive (and at times extremely&nbsp;messy) band performance.[imgtoken data:2]

Royal Blood's fearsome&nbsp;performance becomes the eye of a human storm in&nbsp;Quentin Deronzier's brilliantly stylish video for Tyhoons.&nbsp;&nbsp;There's a sense of calm in the air as the video begins, before things start to happen. Then as the band kick off on a London rooftop, a group of young people wearing black start running, Why? Where are they&nbsp;heading?&nbsp;As their number grows, and their speed, it becomes clear the young people are sprinting towards that rooftop where RB are performaning. And they get there, to circle them and create an amazing phenomenon - a human typhoon.Deronzier squeezes the maximum visual impact from this strong central concept. The edit weaves the band's performance and the mass movement of youth into a thrilling experience;&nbsp;and the VFX are excellent, manipulating the overcast weather into something cinematic and unexpected. It's a&nbsp;true testament to the creativity&nbsp;of&nbsp;the entire production team.&nbsp;

Oscar Sansom has created an explosively creative, characteristically energetic video for Biffy Clyro’s Tiny Indoor Fireworks, a mix of live action performance shot during lockdown, and striking animation styles.Sansom's third promo for the band is somewhat different to previous collaborations for fairly obvious reasons, with him directing remotely and the band having to recruit their 'better halves' in helping to shoot the live action footage, using custom-made rigs designed for the project. And despite the domestic settings, the video skilfully brings the band together, captures the band's trademark energy as performers.Meanwhile, the dreamlike animated scenes - produced by The 2D Workshop - reference internal creative struggles, but with an optimistic sense of release that appears forward looking... ‘dreaming of better days’.[imgtoken data:1]

Presented with a searingly powerful Foals song called Black Bull, Niall O'Brien does not shy away from keeping it uncomplicated - and taking this project by the horns.On the one hand&nbsp;there's a breathtakingly rampant&nbsp;band performance; on the other there is the breathtakingly fearsome bull.&nbsp;O'Brien devotes his energies to a wonderful execution of both elements.Foals' performance has layers of cinematic quality - and one 35mm&nbsp;performance, shot by Paul Özgür, dovetails with authentic&nbsp;concert footage - both shot at their recent show in Kingston.Meanwhile, the awesome black bull prowls a bullring, wearing a garland - never looking more than a few short steps from the camera, its black horns glistening under lights, its movement&nbsp;captured in slow motion. The contrast with the performance footage is intense, yet they complement each other so well - brought together in a&nbsp;consummate edit by&nbsp;Matt Berardi.Beautiful&nbsp;and thrilling, the video is an object lesson in keeping it straightforward, and knocking it out the park.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
