Bastiaan Lochs, Ramy Moharam Fouad and Jonathan Van Hemelrijck join forces to direct this&nbsp;delightful promo for Belgian-Egyptian singer Tamino.&nbsp;featuring Belgian pop superstar Angèle.The video for Sunflower presents a modern take on the 1900's silent film era, and sees Tamino - a lost sailor - in the middle of a surreal theatrical universe, who follows Angèle to the moon to discover the purpose of her mysterious endeavour.&nbsp;With slow camera movements and cinematic lighting, Sunflower combines elements of the old with the new to brilliant effect.&nbsp;“What was difficult at first was imagining how the universes of Tamino and Angèle could be combined,"&nbsp;says co-director Bastiaan Lochs. Julien &amp; Quentin send Stromae and Camila Cabello into the heart of a familiar-looking TV show, in their fun satire for Mon Amour - which poses the important question: is there a reality TV contestant in all of us?The video centres on a reality show where you have to be strategic, charismatic and seductive to reach the final - sound familiar?&nbsp;And what is really satisfying is that both Stromae and Camila have really gone all in in their roles, as part of a larger group of ten contestants.And none of the participants&nbsp;hesitate to use all their assets to reach their goals. Friendship, seduction and betrayal all bubble nicely along each other, and the unreal world of unscripted TV is reflected perfectly in the aesthetic and the contestants' personas. The whole thing feels wonderfully uncanny throughout - and finally tips entirely into the surreal.[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;"We had a lot of fun working with Stromae and his entourage on this music video," says&nbsp;Julien Martorell - half of directing duo Julien &amp; Quentin. "It's very different from our usual work, and even though it took us out of our comfort zone, we loved concentrating on our cast, directing the actors and leaving room for improvisation.”Quentin Garabedian, the other half of the duo, adds that the video is also meant to test and propose new things. "The idea of reality TV seemed to us to be quite ideal to illustrate the song," he says.&nbsp;"The lightness of certain situations that are mixed with small dramas that take on a huge scale...we watched a lot of reality TV to immerse ourselves in that world. Ludovic Gontrand directs a memorable promo for Brussels-based soul and hip-hop artist Blu Samu's fiery comeback.&nbsp;The promo for Turquoise is set on a beach at night,&nbsp;but the bathers are acting like it’s the middle of the day…snoozing, reading, and chilling out,&nbsp;the whole setup reminiscent of a Martin Parr photograph.[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;We see Blu Samu as a human torch running through the crowd, with an almost spiritual energy, illuminating the space around her. But it’s as if she’s invisible - not noticed by anyone - she’s then reborn in the healing powers of the ocean.Amazingly, the whole concept was filmed in camera - including the potentially perilous fire special effects - and this called for careful planning and a cold night to shoot on, as well as a skilled stunt team and multiple cameras to capture the footage.&nbsp;

Henry Scholfield reunites with&nbsp;Belgian superstar Stromae for the video for Fils De Joie - the first since a series of great collaborations&nbsp;a few years ago -&nbsp;and it's a jawdropping experience.&nbsp;&nbsp; The concept takes place in an imaginary country, and showcases the state funeral of a national hero - a courtesan - with Stromae saluting the regiments and leading the ceremony.[imgtoken data:1]'Fils de Joie'&nbsp;(which translates as 'Sons of Joy') is&nbsp;the fourth track on Stromae's new album Multitude, and deals with the subject of prostitution through the prism of various characters. For its three verses, Stromae first takes the point of view of a client, then that of a manager of prostitution networks and finally that of a policeman, rather saddened by the situation. In the chorus, the Belgian puts himself in the shoes of a child of a prostitute supporting his mother and pleading for greater recognition and visibility.Scholfield gives this a remarkable interpretation with a grand spectacle, through a huge cast of dancers, choreographed displays of miliartry precision, captured in a variety of ways including&nbsp;aerial shots. A track to celebrate the opening of club culture again post-lockdown, created by six different producers on Paris-based dance label Monstart, is the jumping-off point for&nbsp;Ludovic Gontrand to transform a rave into an abstract, cinematic&nbsp;experience.Gontrand's video for Togetherness Harmony&nbsp;takes a group of dancers from a neutral, club-like space into the open air, and with their palpable, visceral energy the film&nbsp;embodies the euphoric, hedonistic awakening of freedom,&nbsp;dance, and music.[imgtoken data:1]Six artists contributed to the track -&nbsp;Blackhouse, Gipsyan, NT89, Ouanounou, Pellusje&nbsp;and Ultraviolet&nbsp;- each producer was inspired by the last ten seconds of the previous section to create their own thirty-second piece, animated by a specific emotion of six identified phases: awakening, awareness, euphoria, trance, ecstasy and release.The film captures the essence of how electronic music makes a person feel, both physically and mentally - with the dancers letting loose as a group and in individual portraits. They achieve a form of utopia, as the act of dancing together becomes a form of salvation, and their pleasure is contagious.[imgtoken data:2]Gontrand also added a touch of anarchy to the opening scene where we see a kiss between a dancer and an anti-riot police officer -&nbsp;a nod to a number of violent incidents towards club goers by the police force.“Our main goal in prep was to offer to the dancers the most playful and flawless experiences on set," explains the director.&nbsp;"The closest we can get to a rave party or a club atmosphere; for example we had a DJ and a real rave soundsystem on set, so they can dance seven hours straight and start to feel a state of trance.”

Jara Moravec has directed a wonderfully heartfelt and uplifting video for the long-awaited return of Belgian-born singer-songwriter&nbsp;Stromae.Co-directed by&nbsp;Stromae’s creative director Luc Van Haver - the brother of the artist, aka Paul Van Haver - the visual reflects the sentiment behind the song Santé, which is an ode to the people who seem invisible but yet are vital to our communities, often immigrants from other cultures into those communities. It's a call for respect to the ones who keep everything going, without ever receiving recognition.So Moravec&nbsp;and Van Haver introduce us to this world of forgotten workers -&nbsp;the fishermen, cleaners, bakers, cooks and office workers - who during the course of the video are all drawn into a basic, part animated dance tutorial that appears on their TVs, which is presented by Stromae.It's shot in a humane documentary-style, and the authenticity of these unsung heroes is unquestionable - but as the dance tutorial starts to make its influence felt upon these initially tentative participants, a sense of euphoria grows.With this wonderful song - influenced, as is so much of Stromae's music by his Congolese roots - the effect is transcendent.[imgtoken data:1]

Burgess provides a watchful eye over him, as we find out about the unhappiness behind his naughtiness, and his true role is revealed.&nbsp;This devil is a whipping boy for human frustration and frailty - and Burgess is able to show him sympathy, and possibly empathy too.Produced and shot in Belgium, photographed by DoP Sander Vandenbroucke (in 1.666 ratio),&nbsp;this freewheeling comic fantasy&nbsp;works really well with the&nbsp;jaunty folk-rock of Empathy Of The Devil.&nbsp;And with their background in conceptual, visual effects-based work, it also serves notice that&nbsp;AB/CD/CD have come of age as exciting&nbsp; storytellers.&nbsp;
